- Is this the worst action figure ever released? Maybe! It's Spider-Man's Aunt May, released as part of the Famous Covers line from Toy Biz in 1997, and it might well be. And man, the first line of this description sounds clickbait now I read it back. But I think the figure delivers so I'm leaving it so ner.

My theory: It is a J. Jonah Jameson figure that was repainted and reclothed to be Aunt May as a moneysaving measure.
Aside from the fact the figure looks like a man; the face is similar and the 'dirt' around her mouth is the poorly hidden moustache.

I think when they were making this 'Famous Covers' doll, they gave the designers the cover and told them to 'make that' without telling them which character they were making, so the designers just averaged together Spiderman, Aunt May, and Doc Ock into one figure.
