I used to too get a Denis wick 5 or 3c they’re amazing
I use a GR 62-MS. It plays so smooth and easy blowing. And WHILE being shallow has pretty nice tone. Fits my getzen well.

I play a bobby shew lead because it has pretty good tone and I can play up to a dub A for lead stuff, guys in my band class say I’m using a cheater and I’m like you are holding yourself back but they jusssss don’t listen
I started playing the yahmaha bobby shew lead jazz piece, I went from playing a bach 3c and having mid range to hitting a double c with the bobby shew

Dude mouthpiece size is just preference. I play on a 3c and can rip a double c
Although being able to play really high notes would be a lot of fun, I don't have much call for that kind of range, so I usually play on a Monette B2 because I like the richer, fuller sound I get with this mouthpiece compared to a smaller mouthpiece. When I want higher notes, I pull out my Schilke 6A4A.
I ve been playing consistently for two years. I used to play in high school 20 years ago with no trumpet lessons. I play on a 65mv wedge mouthpiece. Fits me like a glove

I play on the Bach commercial piece, specifically the 7mv. It has a comfortable rim(unlike most Bach mouthpieces) and it's shallow enough for my high note stuff

The thing is, i started playing cornet when i was 8 after 4 years of playing with the YAMAHA Japan 11C4-7C i swiched to a VINCENT BACH 5C. But after 2 years (spring 2019) my sister bought a new trumpet, and i got her old trumpet. So i started playing trumpet instead of cornet and the good mouthpiece she had she used on her new trumpet wich left me with the 3C mouthpiece, and i simply havent had time to by a new one

My director can and will play that c , he's actually really well known in the band community in my local area
I play on a 3C but I am thinking about switching to a 3E but my private tutor does not recommend it
usually, that's not a good idea, those super shallow cups might give you better endurance when playing high, but they're not a cheat code to expanding your range, plus it ruins your ability to play anything low. Find a mouthpiece you like that also fits your playing demands.

Hey, all the stuff about v cup mouthpieces is completely unnecessary. I’m 13, I’ve played for 4 years and I play a Bach 3c megatone and I can play a double A. It’s not about the mouthpiece, it’s about embouchure, air speed and the pressure of the mouthpiece on your face. The “Sharp edges” on the edge of mouthpieces won’t do anything harmful if you don’t use too much pressure. Playing high and well isn’t dependent on the mouthpiece, it’s skill, if you can only play certain things or in a certain range on your lead mouthpiece, you’ve done something wrong. Also, usually the case is that you won’t have control in the higher range of your playing if you can’t consistently do lip slurs and lip trills and cleanly articulate.
I have to use a 7C and the inside of my mouth starts to bleed when i use it and my band directors told me i have to use the one it came with

I play on a Schilke 14a4a because it is so comfortable and easy to play on. And for concert purposes I play on a conn 4

Bach 3c. Helps the tone a lot and I don’t play in the upper register a lot so it’s fine for me. Tried other shallower mouthpieces before but they compromise a rich tone in exchange for range.

abc 123 I play a 5b megatone. I love it, but it has a pretty uncomfortable rim. With warm air, you can make it sound like a flugel, though.
I just have some endurance issues, but my flexibility and tone is amazing on that piece.
Except my band director does play trumpet and can play a double C 😂😂😂
