Really like the sound of Aptera. Sounds super futuristic. P.S: When will we see real world video validation of the different ranges? I know the team is focused on the launch edition, which has 400 miles, so I'd like to see some kind of confirmation that an Aptera can indeed go 400, 600 and 1000 miles on a single charge.
I noticed the test vehicle has a steering wheel installed instead of a steering yoke. Is that any indication that such will be an option in the delivery vehicles? As a hands on 10 & 2 driver, the yoke doesn't make sense to me.
You might have mentioned this in a previous video or other update, but are the brakes feeding back into the battery as well? Can't wait to get my car as well!
Happy to see it come together. I really hope the motor whine isn't as noticeable with the finished interior and sound deadening. So far, I assume it will be quite annoying during daily use.
Nice video, thx! When is the production starting? For the past few years we hear yearly that production should start by the end of next year. Next year comes and then we all hear again, by the end of next year... 🤷♂️
I'm actually considering getting one for my first car and was wondering if when this car goes into production, do you guys think of delivering orders to places like the UK?
Awesome project! Raw filming is cool, but I wonder if the phone is picking up a lot more noise than is intended. There is a significant low end from the tires, and the motor sounds as loud as a supercharger whine. I suspect that is not an accurate representation.
I really wish the had put the wheel pants on for the drives around tow. With the wheel pants on Aptera really looks futuristic. Without them it’s awkward and cheap looking.
Have read and watched about the Aptera for what seems over a decade now. From gas powered to now electric powered……. Every time I’ve asked about production time it’s been in a “couple of years”……. And that was starting like I mentioned what seems a decade ago……
Awesome progress. Good to take time to get everything right. Will this come with cooled seats as an option? Also, are the dimensions available (width, ground clearance, etc.)?
Hey real quick, if I live in, say, alaska, is it going to be safe to take an ice scraper to the array, or do I need to wait for the snow to melt off the array
The panels are going to be encased in glass, so I'd imagine a scraper would be fine. For snow on the hood, though, I find the sleeve of my Marmot jacket does a damn fine job of taking most of it off the hood of my car.
@@harriettanthony7352 Add some rear view blocking curvy bits to the top of your yoke. Problem either solved or created depending on how you look at it : )

Awesome video. Keep them coming...
One question : Was the track vehicle driven from Carlsbad to Vegas? Or shipped? If driven, can we get some details around performance, battery, drive-train etc. Thanks
They trailered them to CES
Really like the sound of Aptera. Sounds super futuristic.
P.S: When will we see real world video validation of the different ranges? I know the team is focused on the launch edition, which has 400 miles, so I'd like to see some kind of confirmation that an Aptera can indeed go 400, 600 and 1000 miles on a single charge.
Can't wait for more
I noticed the test vehicle has a steering wheel installed instead of a steering yoke. Is that any indication that such will be an option in the delivery vehicles? As a hands on 10 & 2 driver, the yoke doesn't make sense to me.
Congratulations, it's amazing to see it driving! I really want one, but that blind spot across the entire side window might be a deal breaker for me.
You might have mentioned this in a previous video or other update, but are the brakes feeding back into the battery as well?
Can't wait to get my car as well!
what are these two huge buttons for (yellow and red)?
Happy to see it come together. I really hope the motor whine isn't as noticeable with the finished interior and sound deadening. So far, I assume it will be quite annoying during daily use.
Will it have Air Conditioning
Oh yeah it will
What if you start a racing series on a tight circuit with your performance prototypes?
When is the delivery date
Like that steering wheel!
Nice video, thx! When is the production starting? For the past few years we hear yearly that production should start by the end of next year. Next year comes and then we all hear again, by the end of next year... 🤷♂️
Next year, promise.
@Throckmorton.Scribblemonger 🤣
keep up the good work
I'm actually considering getting one for my first car and was wondering if when this car goes into production, do you guys think of delivering orders to places like the UK?
How many new reservations since the start of CES?
Everyone on the street is looking at it! Pause and zoom in. They're staring! Lol
Awesome project! Raw filming is cool, but I wonder if the phone is picking up a lot more noise than is intended. There is a significant low end from the tires, and the motor sounds as loud as a supercharger whine. I suspect that is not an accurate representation.
Are the sounds going to be less loud when the interior is in?
I really wish the had put the wheel pants on for the drives around tow. With the wheel pants on Aptera really looks futuristic. Without them it’s awkward and cheap looking.
I love aptera and I would like to see this in Europe. I am even willing to invest more than 30k.
Have read and watched about the Aptera for what seems over a decade now.
From gas powered to now electric powered…….
Every time I’ve asked about production time it’s been in a “couple of years”……. And that was starting like I mentioned what seems a decade ago……
When do you expect to sell the car. And will it also then be available in EU? 😊
Awesome progress. Good to take time to get everything right. Will this come with cooled seats as an option? Also, are the dimensions available (width, ground clearance, etc.)?
The width is 88 inches.
There's currently no plan for cooled seats
@@Throckmorton.Scribblemongermy Chevy Silverado 3500 is wider!
A snow brush would make more sense for snow. If the sun is out the ice would melt off.
I want a full wheel! Forget the yoke
Buy one and mod it yourself.😅
@@SlushieJ Such a useless reply. No one makes an aftermarket wheel WITH the control wheels for the Aptera
@@harriettanthony7352 Add some rear view blocking curvy bits to the top of your yoke. Problem either solved or created depending on how you look at it : )
Opening shot shows how a yoke does not work. Telsa walked back the yoke (quietly made a full steering wheel an option or part you can buy to fix the yoke). So excited to see Aptera succeed but worry that they are making UI UX choices that are adding risk and not core to what makes Aptera great.
