Omg, I'd be fixing that house and saving it. That's a beautiful old home, and family history. SAVE YOUR ANCESTIAL HOME! Do it for yalls kids and future generations.
The contents are worth saving but the foundation and inner walls and insulation and wiring are too far gone and damaged. Fixing it would be basically building a new one so orginal memories (rooms) wouldn't be there. .
I live in California where it is very expensive to live. You literally see no abandon houses, so it is so hard to wrap my mind around family letting houses rot for decades.
When I was looking at a home for sale I heard footsteps upstairs while I was down in the basement. I thought another realtor or buyer had come into the house and called out that I was down in the basement. Noone answered so it freaked me out so I went back upstairs to see who it was. There was nobody else in the house. To make sure I searched the entire house, about 1600 sq. Ft. I opened all the closets and made sure all the windows were still locked. Still noone to be found. I locked the door and returned the keys to the office, reporting what I had experienced. The people who later bought the house told me it was definitely haunted. When you mentioned the footsteps in your gr. Grandparents house it reminded me of my own weird experience. Cool video. I would have liked a longer pause showing the old pictures so I could compare the old and new and because they were pretty neat. Thanks for sharing.
Yes people would pay small fortune for some of the antiques that would give you money to continue work on your home you recently inherited. It's amazing how stuff just continues to pile up.
Thanks for taking us along on your great grandparents house tour! Looking at that old photo with the lady in front, the house was lovely when it was lived in :-D
The metal Tonka toys are worth money. The old peddle tractor my brother still has from early sixties is also worth money. So many memories you and family have.
It's so cool that you have some pictures. My house was built in 1804. I don't have any pictures of the original house. My inlaws bought it in 1955. My husband grew up in this house. We renovated (still a lot of original remains) and moved in after their passing.
I like that “ well it let us in”! Would be nice if you could find something I the old house to incorporate into your new place. May doorknobs or something. Thanks for sharing.
Collectors would love a chance to get their hands on some of those toys, etc. When it's time to deal with it all, do your research before you decide how to dispose of anything. Thank you for the tour.
Oh my I love this video. I love that I get the chance to walk through old homes without actually walking through them. I see some treasures and I hope we get to see you go through the items in the home and I hope we get to see this home get restored as well. I’m glad I came across this channel.
This has been my favorite video of yours so far! Love that you have so many pictures of before and you're a good storyteller. You can tell your family means a lot to you! Hope you find a way to bring back this home or salvage what you can! I'm enjoying your channel!! Take care and have a happy new year!!!🎉😊
Please save that house! Dont let it go to ruin. Its history. Your family history! Do a gofundme to get $ to get that foundation fixed. Get all that stuff out of the house because all of that weight is crushing down on the foundation. You can buy another trailer or two to store the stuff that's not ruined. Also, get the roof fixed if it needs it. If you have a good foundation and good roof, it will last forever. Thanks for sharing. Love the comparison photos.
I'm for saving houses but this one's original bones and infrastructure are too far gone. Rebuilding would be like building a completely different house. He'd have to do wiring and insulation, floors, drywall etc. Probably plumbing and heating too. Very expensive. Cost would be at least $100,000. Go Fund Me doesn't OK it for just remodeling unless it was due to a disaster . (fire, storm etc.) Not trying to burst your bubble, just being realistic. At this point it's just the contents that can be saved now.
I would give anything to have my relatives old homes. Unfortunately they have either been tore down for “improvements” or are rentals now with the extra land being sold off for subdivisions. 😢
Just caught your video! Would love a follow up video of all the vintage things you find. Another one showing what you sell and what each item brought in. Good luck and keep posting!
Thank U for sharing this speical memory. I hope ya'l get into it before any thing happens. There are a lot of good things to be saved. Good luck to ya'l.
Wow, so much history and very cool stuff in that house. I'm sure it's a collector's dream for sure. Be sure before you get rid of anything you look up its value you might be sitting on some antiques. Very interesting to see the inside of this old home, thank you for sharing. Also over the holiday I spoke to a pretty big UA-camr and they told me the " sweet spot " for most $$ for your videos is anything that hits 22:00 minutes in length videos. I just wanted to pass that along so you can get the monetization you deserve.
So exciting to see the old house and hear your family stories and photos. Definitely get everything out before the house caves in. I sure hope someone would restore it. You have a goldmine of treasures and antiques to help fund a restoration project!
Hey Jeremy I'm new to your channel as of today 1-6-2025 it's a good idea to keep locations of family houses private for your safety. I love the tour of your great grand parents home so neat seeing things from the past God bless
Hi Jeremy, this is my 1st time watching your channel. So far so good! I love looking through old houses full of stuff!! I wish you were in Western NY State, cause I'd come and buy a bunch of that stuff in there! When you were looking at all the coke bottles, they are pretty common, but those beautiful teal colored canning jars, especially the bigger ones, they might be worth a lot more than the pop bottles!!
Hey Jeremy, looks like you have a gold mine in that house. I wouldn’t let none of that get ruined like you said you have to get that stuff either. Thank you for sharing that was neat.❤
A lot of old collectibles in your great grand parent’s house! When you go through everything, just make sure the house doesn’t fall down! Thanks for the tour! We appreciate you bringing us along with you! ❤️
The old metal Tonka trucks are very collectible and worth some money. You could sell a lot of the items to a local antique dealer or rent a spot in an antique mall. I hope you can get everything out before the ceiling caves in and causes more damage. I would love to see this home be restored. It looks to be a lovely location out in the country.
fascinating Jeremy, you might never have to work again, just tidy up your belongings!!! those letters are amazing, its the personal things which we hold so dear. love the old photos you showed too. amazing place... you have your work cut out but what joys you may find
Awesome vid buddy. MUST BUY THE TONKA GRADER AND IM SURE I SAW THE TONKA DOZER IN BACKGROUND. HOPE THIS COULD BE POSSIBLE. WOW MY 2 FAVORITE TOYS FROM MY YOUTH.. THANKS FOR THE GREAT VID.
That is a treasure trove of family history. Well worth saving many of the items. When you got to those letters and you said were probably from your Dad when he was in Nam.... everything was kinda blurry after that... I'm from the Nam era. it will be a lot of work getting that a cleaned up but it's worth every minute. Thank you for sharing.
It was a beautiful home back in the day. Your house IS right next door, I thought it was, handy that you've been able to keep an eye on the house all these years. Please get those letters to a safe spot soon. I love a good ghost story, haha, I believe. Old pictures were great! You should absolutely film episodes when you begin to sort through the house, it's all fascinating, bygone eras.
Wow. So much good stuff in there!! You should make clearing that out a priority if possible. You could sell so much of it and help cover the unexpected costs of your remodeling. You're very blessed.
Wow. When you start getting the stuff out of that house,, be sure and check the copyright dates on those old books. They may be collectors items depending on how old they are. And also any antique furniture that can be salvaged. Sometimes you can find old glassware or jewerly that are collectors item as well. Yes I'm interested in old antique things of the past. Thank you for sharing.
All that stuff is absolutely amazing... especially love the heart shaped side table next to the croquet game set. Yes... Definitely get that stuff out 👍🏼🫶🏼... Priceless stuff... It's hard to find stuff made like that now😌... The tractors now are plastic LOL 😊
Great house Look into saving it if it can be saved. imo either way get the contents our SOON you never know what will happen before spring it is just January, When does Spring begin where you're at? Thanks so much for sharing your first look at your great grandparents' house. My nephew fixed up is great grandparents' house and it looks wonderful now
The Geese in flight is a Vernon ward painting English Artist there very valuable i used to have some of his i brought in Charity shops here in the uk ❤
Pink dog was definitely a carnival/fair prize. We had a blue one. You should go through things and have an antique dealer look at some toys and furniture before you tossing…
Some of the straw filled stuffies were probably won at a carnival/fair. You are right Jeremy about cleaning it out, if for no reason but age, it could all come tumbling down, it would be such a waste. What a blessing to have letters from your dad sent to his family ❤ that looks like a radio instead of a breadbox, I see a cord.
I follow another content creator that just bought a house (as is) that was filled with the previous owners stuff. The attic was so packed full of stuff, you could barely walk through. She's been filming everything that she's been doing for the renovations, ss well as going through all the stuff. Especially if you dfind stuff that you need to get appraised and find iut what its worth, and either keeping or selling. A lot of those toys could be donated. Miss Piggy may not be trending right now, but some little kid might not care, or some older woman might love reminiscing about days gone by and want to buy it. You never know! A lot of work, but a lot of fun too!

I have noticed that many houses in rural areas have been left to rot after businesses and industries have shut down. People move out to other areas to find work.

You mentioned whether Great Wolf Lodge is worth it. I think you would really enjoy it. Several of my grandchildren have been to them & found them to be so much fun! Don't think you would be disappointed.
The tractor seats can be made into bar stools. So many antiques in this home that collectors would love. What you want to get rid of. Post on a channel for people to bid on and set a limit on what you will least take. But first you need to check on its worth. Make sure that any family left would want any of these items to keep for memories and history of your family.
That toy tractor might be worth money. Depends on what shape it's in. Same thing with the furniture. I would have so much fun going through all that stuff, and either selling it, donating it, or tossing it into a huge dumpster. lol I hope you can sell most of what you don't want (I'd keep some of the antique furniture, if I were you!) make enough money to pay for the renovations on your dad's house! lol 😉 I wish you and your family the best of luck!
Omg, I'd be fixing that house and saving it. That's a beautiful old home, and family history. SAVE YOUR ANCESTIAL HOME! Do it for yalls kids and future generations.

Too late
I also adored the style of the house from outside but was totally shocked at how badly it is run down esp didn't expect inside to look how it was
I see nothing but love and kindness in this home. I would get right on the construction 👍🤩
I live in California where it is very expensive to live. You literally see no abandon houses, so it is so hard to wrap my mind around family letting houses rot for decades.
That's because you guys are ruled by dems
I’d be fixing that beautiful old house asap. Thankfully someone kept a good roof on it, I’d be moving in in no time! Honestly lol
I love old houses like this, it needs to be restored to its old original state. 🥰
I would
Hi Jeremy, i know you didn't mention it but for safety and security reasons please keep the locations of your families homes PRIVATE. 🙏🏼💛🏡
Obviously.

When I was looking at a home for sale I heard footsteps upstairs while I was down in the basement. These days they could probably just search image of the house to find out
So many pieces of antique furniture that would be beautiful cleaned up, somebody would snatch them up.

So many beautiful pieces and the house may be too far gone but you could surely save some of the doors and stuff.
Parts of that house really creeped me out. 😬
That is Asbestos shingle siding on that house⚠️
The old blue Ball mason jars!!! ❤😍

Great video Jeremy! It was like a walk down memory lane.
A lot of life was lived there. Old houses are sad.
You have a lot of collectibles in that house, don't let people rip you off, some are worth good money. I enjoyed the video.
You also have some very good treasures in that house. Hope you find good homes for them.
This house reminds me so much of my grandma's house. Especially the upstairs. If you can you should save this old house.

I will buy that Nintendo 64 box from you. I am a collector would love to have that in my collection.
Cool older home! Too bad it is just rotting away, however, it would cost a fortune to restore it.
That would be so fun and interesting to go through everything.
