Am I the only one who likes a full balanced mix with my guitar just above the mix instead of everything except the drums being buried? Not saying this approach is wrong, I just feel like I wouldn’t be as connected to what everyone else is bringing to the table if this were my mix.
You aren’t hearing this with my 21 driver in-ears and it’s been compressed by my field recorder and UA-cam and then probably over your phone too. I can hear everything fine 👍🏼
No, I'm with you. I usually have my guitar a little bit louder than the keys, vocal and click. Depending on the line up, sometimes I'll just mute an extra acoustic and any backup singers, just to keep the mix from becoming too muddy. I'm next to the drum cage, so I don't have to have them turned up much, I get them through osmosis😀
Definitely not the only one. I keep my click practically maxed, the drums sitting just below the click, a lot of bass, a lot of lead vox, and just enough acoustic and keys to know they're there. Sometimes I'll even commit the cardinal sin of pulling down the drums and taking out my right ear to hear the drums live. Might not be the "correct" techniques, but I grew up playing in a rock band with wedge monitors. I need a live feeling mix or I feel disconnected from the dynamics of the song.
Great playing and great taste, not over the top just perfect. Do you prefer glass or metal slide? Do you have a separate IEM for your recording? Again great job.
Never heard of this song until now, so thank you
Thank God
Sweet!
Excellent tone per usual Bradford!
Man that Nash rips. Superb playing as always!
Yes it does! And thank you!
Always love using my Ariel Posen signature Rock Slide on this song.
Tasty licks for sure, Bradford. But I’d like to also give a shout-out to the drummer who’s killing it too!
Thanks Kendi! Yes, Chris is inSANE!
Better than the original version in my opinion. Thanks for sharing this, I play this song in a week
Just had to put a little more sauce behind it 😎

Would've love to seen a brief shot of the acoustic guitar fighting for his life, thats quite the tempo 😅😂
