I Love how several of Zack’s skills here reflect his time from crisis core with Angeal’s Rush being his limit break
No spoilers about the ending, but all the sudden Cloud learning Meteorain in the next games makes so much more sense.

I imagine she'll either be unavailable for the first half of Part 3 or at least is going to be temporarily playable a la Zack in Part 2 (Though I'm kind of expecting him to become fully playable in Part 3 too). They were all but screaming that the timelines are going to intersect again, it'd be such a waste *not* to give her a dramatic return at a critical moment

@axolotl3132 the Zack in the game is from the alternate reality he's not the Zack from Crisis Core That Zack doesn't survive his Last Stand when cloud and the party defeated the whispers in the end of remake they altered fate and created a alternative reality where Zack survived

@@axelreboot8475 I mean it technically is Crisis Core Zack. He's been through everything that Crisis Core Zack went through, he just survived and made it to Midgar with Cloud. It only becomes a branched timeline at the end of Crisis Core

The interesting part is when zack synergy and his limit break he will use exploding fire fist as his last finisher he's definitely a shounen protagonist like natsu dragneel. Definitely a fire user
How can i use the ascension limit break? i have it on my limit break list but i can’t use it during battle.😢
increase level with synegy skills as Partner in crime with Barret
Use firework blade with Aerith or partner in crime with Barrett. Can also use the Yuffi bomb synergy attack basically anything with an orange hourglass (edit: yellow circle) next to it will increase the limit bar rank.

Why did they turn Barret's Lvl 4 limit into his level 2 one?
Presumably because FFVII: Remake took place entirely in Midgar, and him going full FIRIN' MAH LAZOR while indoors made more sense than him calling in an aerial bombardment while indoors and under the plates. Now, to be fair, he's not literally calling in a satellite to nuke the enemies from orbit any longer, but I think the point still stands... Now, the big question I'm waiting for the answer to is what Barret's Lv.4 Limit is going to be in the next game, considering that he already has all of his OG Limits. Are we going to see a brand new Lv.4 Limit for Barret? 'Cuz, ngl, that'd be kinda dope.

Is it just me or Finishing Touch weaker on single target bosses than Ascension? Trying to figure out if it’s a waste of SP learning finishing touch since it doesn’t seem to do as much damage on my initial testing lol

No, you can't. But hopefully Square Enix may announce an update or DLC to put him into a optional secret boss or something. At least we'll wait for the next and last game to come out soon and I am praying that they'll make a teaser trailer of the very last game.

it is WILD to me that zack has a unique moveset and abilities but you play him like 2 times with it
meanwhile you have vincent and cid with you for 3-4 chapters worth of content
honestly would have found it rly cool if vincent and cid would reward with a special synergy attack once you complete a quest for them / with them

Because Cid and Vincent would take way more work. Zack has no skill tree and only has synergy attacks with Cloud. Vincent and cid would need synergy attacks and synergy abilities with all other characters and 3 limit breaks each.

You don't really have vincent and cid with you for that long though... It's not like they actually tag along the whole time, Cid stays at the tiny bronco for the entire time except for the gold saucer where he says one or two lines and the temple of the ancients. He's not even there for the last chapter. Pretty much has no story relevance yet except for the plane.
Vincent does show up in a couple story moments and he does have a side quest or two where he plays a prevalant role, but he's mostly on the sideline too. And we already got our Vincent teasers in this game. The entire Galian Beast boss fight was teasing what Vincent's beastial forms will probably play like in part 3, and we briefly saw him use his gun. Fighting Vincent got me more hyped to play him than seeing him fight off to the side could have, I barely even noticed Nanaki fighting when I played Remake for the first time. Adding synergy attacks for Vincent and Cid would just waste unneccessary development time. There are zero combat animations that exist for Vincent and Cid, they do not have a moveset yet, no actual weapons designed like we don't see Cid's weapon and Vincent just has a regular gun instead of cerberus, there's none of that. Nanaki's was probably already in the early stages in Remake cause they showed stardust ray and stuff.
Also you do play as Zack more than those two times, it's just not in the story. There are postgame combat simulators where you play as both Zack AND Sephiroth, kinda a reward for doing the game's most challenging content.
@@linkshunter608 Vincent's lack of involvement IS actually pretty weird because, if you look closely, he actually does run into the Forgotten Capital along with the others once the wall of Whispers dissipate. Yet, for some reason, he doesn't get involved with the Jenova Lifeclinger or Sephiroth Reborn fights at all... Could've been nice if he just did a few attacks on it, kinda like Barret and Red's attacks on the Whisper Harbinger in Remake.

Yea he deserves to be a main character but he’s either probably dead or got revived at the end and will be fully playable in the last game. Don’t take the Zack getting revived part seriously I still don’t understand the ending

@@iangabriel3261 well, from what rebirth is showing. there's a whole bunch of timelines. sephiroth meddling with it, and forcing them to merge.. causing several characters to survive when they shouldn't. having some characters meeting each other, when they shouldn't. like biggs and zack meeting and becoming friends. questioning why they're even alive.
while zack is dead in the main timeline, this is more or less zack surviving in an alt timeline. the timeline where cloud didn't get recruited to avalanche.
so they didn't revive characters, just some characters surviving their supposed death. due to sephiroth meddling with the timelines. sephiroth is mad sure aerith death the consistent event in every timeline. regardless if anyone saving her.

Calling it now: When Sephiroth uses Supernova in the final boss fight of Part 3, Aerith is going to use Great Gospel from beyond time and space to no-sell it, completely restoring you and giving you a bit of invulnerability for about 30 seconds. Ergo, she won't be playable but just amount to a cameo character in Part 3.

Yeah, that was the name in Remake as well.

In the Japanese version the attack is called Climhazzard, same goes for Cloud's "Blade burst" it's supposed to be Blade beam but they changed it

Yes both Zack and sephiroth u can play as n the hard vr missions along wit cloud. Post game is when they become available.

Nahh the way the combat works 4 is a lot. I expect it for part 3 but 3 limits is fine rn. I love how you don’t just always use the third limit you usually use a mix of all 3 depending if you are doing enough synergy attacks to boost them.
Also, you do can a brand new weapon attack in the folio just before your limit.

red´s voice sounds very off
It's cause he stopped faking the "mature, serious" etc voice. He's like 16 or something for his species, people theorize it's after Bugenhagen calls him out on it, calls him a child etc that he drops the act. You can even hear him slip up with his "huh?" In the trailer when the girls ask him how they look in their swimsuits around the 2 minute mark of the final trailer/state of play ign thing
I'm gonna guess his current voice is an act. And he's gonna talk normally like ryuji from persona 5 or arataki itto from genshin impact
So it’s spoiler territory as red basically is a child just at the beginning of the game his voice is all husky and deep but once he stops pretending he ends up using his real voice which is why in his third LB he sounds very off

Dude it’s a multi million dollar game with 8 playable characters in part 3 of the series all the limit breaks will be available in that game, and also games cost a lot more now than they do before so they cut corners sometimes to get the game out on time or just to finish it so it doesn’t cry and piss itself when you log on to it. My point is if you can’t accept quality over quantity you’re not allowed to criticize modern games. If you want it all then you’re reaching for an unobtainable goal.

@@Kspice9000 so you have multiple new spells playable characters, maps, sideqiuests, offensive and defensive materia, synergy moves and lore that continues that story while being faithful to the original and your only piece of evidence that game is bad is that you don’t get 2 magnify materia. Wow you sure do expect a lot from new games
@@iangabriel3261I think there are 3 magnify materia in the game now but it’s obvious as to why they are limited, it would make the game to easy. Heck their is an accessory item that increases the limit by one without synergy and you can only transmute one to have the limit fully upgraded without the use of synergy attacks, if they allowed everyone to have this it would make some synergy attacks pointless. But yes not enough magnify materia = bad

Removing tifa and cait siths slots was such a huge mistake. They ruined this game worse than demake especially aerith not dying this time and no earth magic. Goddamn it square.
