So I’m from Hawai’i. Because the majority of the race here is Asians and majority consist of Filipino, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean (there’s of course Vietnamese, some Indian, Taiwanese, etc) that a lot of the grocery stores are catered to us Asians compared to mainland typically grocery stores. So glad you came here! Unfortunately during winter it tends to rain a lot here, but it feels nice when it’s sunny here 24/7
As a local born and raised I love that you tried food of our culture and shared that with the world. I’m glad you had a great experience and great pronunciation at the end 😉
I grew up on Oahu and I am so happy to watch this vlog! Poke is Soooooo good and I miss it so much. I'm in Colorado now, so hard to find good poke. Thanks for bringing back some good memories!
omggg i literally woke up sick today (2/15)& i didn’t see your video on my feed yesterday (how rude youtube!) but im so glad i can watch it today!! i love your videos sooo much, thank you for posting the content you do! be safe out there !!🫶🏼
Oh sweetie….. you need to go to Kauai to get the true Hawaiian experience. (sorry, no shade towards the other islands, but if you know- you know!) Kauai is much more laid back, less touristy, no freeways, no loud traffic, the people are amazing! Kauai will always be my home! Mahalo 🌺
I live on Maui, the stuff on the bathroom counter looks like shavings from termites. Also, coconut water to me tastes like C^m. Update: not me lol when you explained later in the video that it was termites!
I went straight to the comments to see if anyone knew what the stuff on the counter was. Glad I came across your comment or I would have been scrolling for ages before he mentioned it at the end of the video😆
i use tea tree oil soap for break outs if you have skin issues. Also, wouldn't give up on salmon since it's one of the healthiest fish to eat. Love watching your trip to HI! Mahalo! 😍🥰
My daughter said in Japan Hawaii the convenience stores are better sushi cuz it’s fresh everyday and better than restaurant sushi in Canada here. Really coconut water the best but get the one in the can with the coconut bits in it way better. It’s so hydrating too I just got some cans just now. My daughter went to that food truck she said it was good. I wonder if those are little bugs on the counter or shedding ones
Actually the pastry you've had (kouign-amann) is a french pastry (emblematic of French Brittany cuisine). It is traditionally made from puff pastry, semi-salted butter and caramelized sugar. And yeah its delicious, especially when eaten fresh from the oven 😍😋
You are so much braver than I am doing the Koko Head hike 😂I went to the milder, smaller hike across the way by Hanauma Bay. Lived here all my life and you went to places I didn’t even know existed! I love Foodland poke 🤙 I’m happy you experienced Oahu! Aloha
I don't know for sure what that stuff is in the bathroom, but from the looks of it, it's waste from termites. They make small holes and you don't always notice them right away.
The little spots could be sand...its a windy, sandy place. My dad is from a port town in Sicily, Mazara del'Vallo, and would, at times, have to sweep sand out of the house especially when the winds blew from Africa....you can see it in the air. If it doesn't move, my guess is sand.
25:01 I am not the only one, I hate the wooden spoon, even the ice cream sticks 😖 got goosebumps from watching you… I think we get the trauma from doctors checking our throat with the freaking wood sticks 🥴
the abc store 😭. i stayed at a resort that had a abc store and i literally went there everyday. the shrimp truck was also a highlight, i wish i could go back to Hawaii
The kouing Amann is a French patisserie it is mostly made of butter and the best way to eat it is when it hot it is really tender and the taste of the butter and sugar comes out super good 👍 love ur videos
Aww everything is so beautiful, thanks for taking us along. 🌺And I agree coconut water is disgusting. It tastes like it’s been in someone else’s mouth🫠
Literally just found you today like a few hours ago and your Videos are just literally amazing xD...i dont know why they are so funny and interesting and i am just getting Stuck on your UA-cam page
YES HAPPY VALENTINES TOO US YAYYY also a cheaper option is MINT TEA thats the key too clear skin i drink atleast two cups everyday it changed everything but coconut water is delish and hydrating too the pineapple one is my fav it taste a lot better
You gotta eat some shoyu chicken from Times.. and some beef stew from Mickey’s.. and Lau Lau.. and chicken katsu from L&L.. and sushi from Ganki’s.. and oyster sauce poke bowl from Foodland
Ya, I took myself to Hawaii for my birthday a few years ago. Ima huge foodie. Did a ton of research before I went. Hawaii isn't really a food paradise lol kinda unfortunate.
The stuff on the counter could be wood-flour; if there's a type of bug living in the wood furniture, they eat it and they push the remaining stuff outside. Maybe that's what you were wiping away.
Try the pineapple coconut water! I think it's way better than original. A bit of pineapple juice added to it makes it sweeter and more refreshing. Also way better if you stick the coconut water in the freezer for a bit. It never tastes as good at room temperature.
Also protip; buy the poke in the morning and put it in a fridge or in a cooler over ice, and you'll get a way better selection of raw seafood than if you went in the evening!
I just moved to Germany from Hawaii and your vlog is absolute torture for all the delicious poke you ate. 😭 I’m glad you got to go and experience some really good spots! Hope to see you back there soon!
Yeah, termite dust I think could be ground up wood they're munching on. One week in Hawaii. Laulau, lomi salmon, kalua pork, poi, sweet/sour short ribs, butter fish, saimin, malasadas ????????
sorry i’m lateee! never seen Hawaii alot before… but DAMN!! the weather looks so sunny and the food SO BOMB.. it’s actually so much more tropical and naturey then i expected (idk what i was expecting 😥).. PS: hair crispy as always!! (=^ ◡ ^=)

My mom worked at turtle Bay resort, when we lived there. She always"snuck us in" to the hotel swimming pool. Loved seeing you sneak in too!

I agree about the taste of coconut water… 😂 I really wanted to like it… but the saltiness is no bueno for me
I went straight to the comments to see if anyone knew what the stuff on the counter was. Glad I came across your comment or I would have been scrolling for ages before he mentioned it at the end of the video😆

That toast with the prosciutto & the lobster pasta both looked so good! 😍 I enjoyed this vlog!
I don't know for sure what that stuff is in the bathroom, but from the looks of it, it's waste from termites. They make small holes and you don't always notice them right away.
Logan, there is a really great bakery in Kanata that makes awesome kouign-amann! It’s called La Maison du Kouign-Amann.
The little spots could be sand...its a windy, sandy place. My dad is from a port town in Sicily, Mazara del'Vallo, and would, at times, have to sweep sand out of the house especially when the winds blew from Africa....you can see it in the air. If it doesn't move, my guess is sand.

Ya, I took myself to Hawaii for my birthday a few years ago. Ima huge foodie. Did a ton of research before I went. Hawaii isn't really a food paradise lol kinda unfortunate.
Just went to Kauai. It’s stunning! Can’t recommend enough if you love nature. Saw 15 sea turtles on the beach and a monk seal one night!

You didn’t do diamond head hey. What mountain is this ?

The man fishing 😂💀
I know the perfect spot for turtles!!! Next time do a poll 🩷🩷🩷🩷
Which hotel is it? And which island ?
Try the pink coconut water over there it’s soooo yummy
Looks like you are on the big island, or Oahu.
You went to Millions, my favorite Korean Restaurant in Hawaii😊
OMG WHEN I SAW IT JUST POSTED 16 MINS AGO I CLICKED SO FAST !!
We have the guava cream pies in Miami too , they are sooo goood 🤤
Yea, this was very good vibes vlog 👍😊
Hawaii is home for me, so this makes me miss Hawaii local food. Pokè in Hawaii is more authentic than how they accommodate the pokè on the mainland.
At 11:30, me not trying to get rid of the little black dot on Logan’s camera thinking it was on my phone 😂😂🤦🏼♀️
I went in 2016 & the one thing I miss each day are the ABC stores. Literally had any drink that you could ever want
My first time in Honolulu a few years back we were in the water and a sea turtle came up like 3 feet away while swimming it was beautifulll
Coconut water is kinda like asparagus, very earthy. I love it, just gotta get used to it❤
The flavor doesn’t bother me but the viscosity does 🤢
That yeast is actually termite droppings
