Being able to see the amount of dedication a manga artist has is truly inspiring to me. I need to level up my art as well. Thank you for the motivation.

I love how manga is still being drawn traditionally with ink and nibs. I've been trying to master the G pen myself, but I struggle and continue using multiliners. I get depressed constantly at how the world is continuing to transition into drawing digitally, but the fact that Akihito-sensei and other mangaka still preserve the traditional format makes me feel better about my art. Your video amazes me. I hope to reach this level someday.
Actually A LOT of manga is being drawn digital which is fine as well. no difference really and also faster on some parts whuch is better so they dont overwork themselves. Not every manga is drawn very good but every manga has a lot of work in it
Doing one illustration piece takes me around 8 hours. He makes it look so easy. I've actually learned a couple of things from watching this. Thanks for sharing!
I would probably snap if I had to draw this amount of high quality pages in such time, I really admire the fact that Akihito-sensei as well as other mangaka are able to do this all the time!
@Linnea Wongseeda Svensson I love drawing as well, but obviously not all people will be able to pump out drawings this fast right away, no matter how much they love what they do. It's a process that you have to get used to at first.
You can love something, but enough pressure in a professional setting can suck the fun out of it. For every successful mangaka there are plenty people who couldn't do it.
I tried to draw my story just for experience, and i managed to draw Three chapters in 3 months. The best way to always be in the mood to draw is daily exercise. I've researched about it and since drawing will keep you sitting the whole day, means less movement w/c lessens the oxygen in our brain. Less oxygen, less concentration. Less concentration, makes drawing a lot harder and depressing. So always exercise. Move your body at least 30 minutes daily, and you'll be able to draw w/out having to worry about mood.
Suyash LoneWolf books can be read in 2 ways, read it physically, or read it online. of course books are meant to be read physically in the first place. but technology had made possible to draw/write without using a physical book, you just need a PC/Laptop/Phone/Tablet to start reading and a wifi signal.
how slowly the artist takes the time to draw the lineart makes me realize maybe I should be more slower and precise with my lineart. I tend to rush too much making the end drawing look very messy!
Saaaaaame, also felt like an idiot when I realized even professionals have to make multiple attempts at finished lineart. You don't just plop it down and BOOM you're done lol
"I work only 6 to 7 hours every day after noon due to schedule with other work" Only? And that is to make room for other projects? I imagine at least a 12 hour work period, everyday. Be mentally ready before commiting to write/draw your own manga. Nice video :)

What I really like is the fact that you draw with pencil in a way that is forbidden in the most drawing schools...short strokes. I can't count how many times I heard an instructor say "Don't use many short linear strokes. Use long single curved strokes instead". But here you go doing short little strokes and ending up with an excellent peace of art. Exceptionally well done.
well i mean it depends on what youre doing. Rules for drawing exist rightly so because they're there to teach you the fundamentals and to draw realistically. Once you are able to draw realistically and understand form, shading, perspective and all that, then you can break all the rules and do your own thing with it. So its not that your teacher is wrong, hes simply there to teach you the fundamentals that must be learned, or at least should be learned.

Damn if that's what it takes to draw a manga about two characters talking... Just how hard was to draw "I am a hero, gantz, Berserk, etc"... Woah it's just simply insane the amount of work that requires to create those.
The author of gantz have mention he used 3d models for the poses of the characters, not sure if for backgrounds too, but I suppose; the rest are cloth and expression details and the layouts; besides a serialized manga artist have around 3 or 4 assistans como make sure that the deadline is fullfilled!
Thank you for making this video, I learned a lot just from watching it
