I hope they take our feedback to their response to our feedback and put out a statement about what is happening with the other releases that were supposed to be due right about now!
Yeah a little bit of an update on those three would be rather nice! Even if it was for the assumed retooling of articulation and such, It'd be nice to hear, OFFICIALLY, that that's what is going on. Embrace the wholistic medicines of truth and goodness, let out all the information! Do not Burn The knowledge!
Hiya toys truly feels like the gold standard of a figure company. They make good products, charge comparatively low for said products, continually innovate on their own lines as new product comes out, respond quickly to feedback from fans and are incredibly transparent on their own dealings regarding upcoming releases. I truly do respect Hiya’s commitment to being a good company all around
My trust in Hiya has been reinforced. I'm very much happy to continue to purchase future products of theirs to say the least. I'm probably gonna pick up that BEAST glove Kong at some point.
Yeah this was a good look move to make, i just hope it doesn't get outta hand in the future lol They're great at what they do and I can only hope it remains that way far into their time with Godzilla and co. Now....... Gibe de Shin Godzilla, Hiya.
I love them for this, I really hope we hear about the other delayed figures because I’ve been holding out for that Hokkaido ‘91 Godzilla 😭 I hope for a Super Mechagodzilla they do an accessory pack with beams and a damaged eye, OR a Rodan with the Garuda. I’d prefer the first option
I love hiya, and the fact they listen to us is amazing. As for garuda, I would love it as a separate release it could include the beam effect and everything.
I pre-ordered mine, and I agree the price was interesting, but I appreciate them realizing the situation, and they corrected it and lowered the price. I appreciate Hiya so much more now for actually correcting it. For the figure look. Yea Mecha Godzilla is a thick boy, and I absolutely love the movie Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla 2 has one of the best fight scenes at the end in heisei movie history. I agree with Shin. They took the fans' comments and put it into their system of products, which more collectible, making companies should reflect on this and do the same thing and even prices we pay. Great video, as always, Rob. Appreciate your discord community and commentary.
@@ShinRobjirayou gonna cover the SH 54 Goji 70th Anniversary version? Be interesting. I know you don't like SH, and I really cannot blame you, but it's the only SH figure I felt the need to buy lol
I hope the price change is reflected in BBTS soon. $70 for an 8.5” isn’t too bad considering that S7 runs 8” figures for $85. But yah the proportions and everything are kind of odd and I’m glad they’ll be retooling this sculpt and lowering the price. It’s a win all the way around
The price was always meant to be $60, the $70 listing was an internal error on their part. That being said, im sure sites will correct the pricing situation in time, I don't run a webstore but i can't image it's too difficult. I'm just glad they're able to be transparent with this issue....now to find out what happened with Godzilla Evolved, Godzilla 2014, and Godzilla 1991 lol
It seems like the figure has more accessories and accommodation set up than people initially gave it credit for. It has the Plasma Grenade piece at the abdomen, swappable hands, Shock Anchors/G-Crusher parts, and a interesting seamline at the eyes, seemingly for eventual swappable head parts? The main issues the prototype has is that everything is weirdly spaced. The shoulders are too high, the hips are too low, the parts that are meant to hide the gaps of the hip joints aren't inside but instead outside of the legs, the neck looks thin due to the articulation implementation, etc. The unpainted prototype they showed off a little while ago was spot on, and things seemingly didn't work out cleanly in the process of adding articulation. I'm so glad they're changing things up, but hopefully not with the actual modeling.
This is really cool of them to do. Really makes me happy that they have the Godzilla license. Now hopefully we will get updates on other figures that have also changed. Now I just need them to do a Minus One. Or Biollante, would love to see how they do her.
I Absolutely AGREE. This is why I Love Hiya so much, THEY. LISTEN. And Honestly i too was fine with the Heisei MG, the Fact that do one in the First Place blew me away! But seeing how much they are in touch with the Community and show how it's done is just *chefs kiss* Can't wait for the Future of their Line and honestly Accessory Pacs would be FIRE! Imagine Buildings for the Figures👀
Nice that Hiya Toys took the feedback and went back to the drawing board to make Mechagodzilla 93 as accurate as possible, in which is cool. Accessory packs from Hiya might be cool that way we don't buy the same figure with a few bells and whistles and just have what it needs.
Articulated figures aren't for me anymore but I definitely like what Hiya is doing. Their mere existence has threatened Bandai's supremacy to the point where SHMA is consistently making new sculpts, despite Hiya not being available in Japan.
I love that they made this announcement, it really helps gauge that our feedback matters, a big W for sure. As for the garuda + beams accessory pack part, you took the words right out of my mouth, accessory sets would be AMAZING and refreshing in a time where we are basically used waiting for the next release for specific accessories, and from their point of view i'd imagine it would benefit them because it would boost sales of their Mechagodzilla they have already on the market and to be honest i think people wouldn't mind buying the accessory set for a more complete figure, heres to hoping hiya goes the accessory set route here cause i'd gladly spend the extra 50 or so for the garuda and extra accessories to go with Mechagodzilla! (in terms of swappable parts in the potential accessory set, the fists he makes when firing the plasma grenade wouldn't be a bad addition in the accessory set 👀)
I always saw Mecha G 93 as more of a Godzilla tower 2 by the amount of times he moved in his film. Also Neca was given bad feedback on that Shin Godzilla
I hope we get an accessory pack. With Garuda, flight stand for Garuda, two beams for Garuda or the rainbow mega buster beam. Then maybe a different head with the damaged eye from Rodan.
So glad to see them tweak the fig to (hopefully kind) criticism, it definetly feels like a hit of addrenalin compared to other companies, like you said. ESPECIALLY in comparison to what's going on with the NECA tmnt sets lately. Also big agree on Garuda, I'm too excited to wait and see if they do an smg later, and I don't really want two of the same fig. Speaking of other companies, I don't think I've seen you comment on the 'Brilliant light' Burning goji bandai announced, any thoughts on it?
Finally, someone else who didn’t drink the Kool-Aid on the NECA Shin Godzilla propaganda. For 20 bucks it was perfect and the tail on mine still stays up just fine to this day
I think they should make a hola new mechagodzilla whit gargantua and effects bc they do it Just gargantua and effects they would had to do it in the same time that they are doing the mecha in other way how we could put the gargantua whit out quiting a few oarts
Hiya Toys: "That price needs CORRECTION!!!!! 💢💢💢💢💢💢" I'm sorry. Anyway this is why like Hiya. Not to go all in on Bandai-bashing, but Hiya's open forthrightness is SO opposite of Bandai, who will post something to a FAQ page at best, and perhaps just in Japanese, about a product recall alone; FORGET posting to social media about IMPROVING an item before it goes to market. Yes, for Hiya, there's more of a need to remain in communication with fans for the fact they are ore reliant on presales, but they earn SO much street cred that it only serves to make SHMA look uncaring in comparison. Bandai, or at least Tamashii, could take a page from the Hiya book here.
It's very good that they listen to their fans. That's what all these corporations really lack. But despite everything, I won't trust hiya too much. I prefer to be careful with every company, in principle. And as for Mechagodzilla. It's good that they make it, but I'll pass on it.
