Its rating would definitely have been higher if that fandub was the official

It's a harem anime about magical girls that transform into cans of soda with cheesy scenes where the MC "kisses them" inadvertently by drinking them. There's also this anime called "Charge Man Ken". It's an anime that no one remembered even existed until it was uploaded on the internet in the late 2000s. It has since become one of the biggest memes in Japan due to how hilariously bad it is.

That's in large part because low scores on MAL are very rare. As a general rule, anything on MAL with a low 6/10 or worse can be assumed to be absolute garbage and anything between a 6.5 and a 7.5 is usually average at best.
Honestly, Himetsu no Mars is saved by its amazing dub, which is literally just a group of 20-something drunk college students shouting over the entire thing.

Can't believe the flying spaghetti monster got defeated at the end. Truly amazes me how the writers were able to tie all of that into a heartwarming, emotional cinematic masterpiece. And the plot twist at the end where it turned out the big squid wasn't alone, ready to splat down... Something like it's fuckin Splatoon, it's just incredible. This is one of the greatest films of all time.

It was a true master piece far beyond its time and shall forever be cherish. May it live on in our hearts and minds, and may we never forget the valuable lessons it has taught us.
The cinematography truly captures the desolation that is life in Japan, encouraging the viewers to seek connections with others and to team up for the common good.
But if you look at it from a different angle, it’s really tragic. This poor squid comes from space seeking a new home with ideal conditions for life and it gets killed just for showing up. The giant squid is the most tragic character since Jesse Pinkman

You would expect that all the voice actors for this anime is not known and probably stopped doing their job sooner or later. But it is not, I just checked it on MAL, two or three of the voice actresses here are still active on big named animes even now. I’d love to suggest The Endless Eight arc in Haruhi Suzumiya. A great anime, and I actually loved this arc - but imagine watching the same episode eight times in a row, with the most minor differences possible. People had to wait a week between each episode, only to see the exact same thing. It’s like the Dr Strange Dormanu segment spread out over eight weeks. Perfect.
My favorite thing about Endless Eight is that KyoAni had like 3 other novels they could have adapted, but decided it'd be better to make a 40ish page story into basically an entire season. It's the most high effort avant-garde shitposting I've ever seen, and they totally got away with it.
I fucking hate the show because of it, they wasted episodes that could have been used to flesh out haruhi character and give her a character development but no, they do the same episodes 8 times, Its funny as a shitpost, but a hell to sit through

That's in large part because low scores on MAL are very rare. As a general rule, anything on MAL with a low 6/10 or worse can be assumed to be absolute garbage and anything between a 6.5 and a 7.5 is usually average at best.

Can't believe the flying spaghetti monster got defeated at the end. Truly amazes me how the writers were able to tie all of that into a heartwarming, emotional cinematic masterpiece. And the plot twist at the end where it turned out the big squid wasn't alone, ready to splat down... Something like it's fuckin Splatoon, it's just incredible. This is one of the greatest films of all time.
Honestly, I don't really see anyone else who could do this except charlie. The willpower, endurance, and the patience he has is unmatched.

I’d love to suggest The Endless Eight arc in Haruhi Suzumiya. A great anime, and I actually loved this arc - but imagine watching the same episode eight times in a row, with the most minor differences possible. People had to wait a week between each episode, only to see the exact same thing. It’s like the Dr Strange Dormanu segment spread out over eight weeks. Perfect.
My favorite thing about Endless Eight is that KyoAni had like 3 other novels they could have adapted, but decided it'd be better to make a 40ish page story into basically an entire season. It's the most high effort avant-garde shitposting I've ever seen, and they totally got away with it.
I fucking hate the show because of it, they wasted episodes that could have been used to flesh out haruhi character and give her a character development but no, they do the same episodes 8 times,
