I'm so glad I came across your video. I'm learning to sew at the age of 59. I took a machine mastery class in November, and after watching your video was able to make six scarves in time for Christmas. I found the most difficult part of the process was cutting the fabric but actually making the scarves was easy thanks to your video. Now on to bigger projects!
My mom has been sewing for over 45 years and I can only do crafty stuff. She does entire weddings! I loved this tutorial. Its my speed :) Straight lines only!
Oh it's genius! Have just made three, from long scarves which I had bought and never used because I'm hopeless at tying them. This way you don't have to do anything and they look nice, thanks very much!
Thank you for the tutorial. In the days after, I purchased material and now have made 10 for gifts this Christmas season. I also watched the pillowcase video. Thanks for your help in saving me from a Christmas meltdown!
What an awesome tutorial!! I sewed an infinity scarf for myself from cotton fabric (Patriots Football fabric) and ended up using a french seam which worked well but what a pain in the tuchas!! Your way is soooo much better!! Im going to make some scarves!!
I’m thinking a little further outside the box . . . I recently saw an infinity blanket. I would like to make one for myself. I spend much time in hospital with my son and usually prop pillow/blanket/coat on railing so I can sleep. I’m pretty excited to see your instructions. To try it out, after watching this, I bought a cheap blanket and will use quilt batting. The measurements of the infinity blanket on website is 36” x 5.5” x 2”. I’m thinking that means I’ll cut 2 yards long and, maybe 8” or 10” wide? I can’t wait to try it! Then I’ll find a nice soft fabric to make one for another mom. I’m so glad I found you. You made me believe I can do this. Thank you very much.
I received an infinity scarf this year for Christmas. It's wonderful! It's 2 yards long, so puffy and long enough to wrap around my neck three times to keep my neck warm.
hi Jan I wanted to thank you for this wonderful tutorial. after watching this video i was able to make an infinity scarf from two beautiful shawls i had to give my mother for xmas. it was awesome. thank you so so much, you have no idea how much i love making that and wearing them. happy holidays
I am a new sewer who previously knitted but sadly cannot do so anymore. I wanted to sew something as gifts for Christmas but was unsure what as I am still slow but these even I can make up in time. Your tutorial is wonderful as always - have watched quite a few, you are one of my favourite teachers. Thank you
Your method of sewing these scarfs is amazing. I was not having a good time making them a different way. Your tutorial is wonderful. I have already made two in half the time as the other way I was sewing them. I am starting on Christmas gifts! I really love this! Thank you for sharing!
QUESTION: When using a serger, do you have the knife engaged? If yes, how do you make the turn, as the knife is cutting ahead of the stitching? Thanks!
She is talking about the width of fabric, salvage from salvage. Most fabric is 45 inches wide salvage to salvage. Minky fabric comes 60 inches wide from salvage to salvage.
Finally I understand you completely! I have watch tutorials but your explations are PERFECT

You’re so talented.
Great Tutorial
Amazing. Cant wait to stitch one.
Do you wash your fabric before you make your scarf?
For cuddle, do you use ball point needle and stretch stitch on your machine? Or regular needle and straight stitch?
Thanks for all the tips, Jan! What would you suggest for fleece? 16ish"x60" without finishing the edge?
QUESTION: When using a serger, do you have the knife engaged? If yes, how do you make the turn, as the knife is cutting ahead of the stitching? Thanks!
Thank you!!! You are awesome!!!!
Great tips thanks for sharing

Great video best I have seen! Thank you for Sharing! Just Subscribed to your channel...
Love this, thank you!
Loved it!
Where do I find you shawl video?
great video - thanks!
could this be made using a fabric?
Could you use fleece or minky
Thank you. Help in my decision on lengths.
A yard and a half is 54 inches. How is that larger than the 60 inch width?
I made one from 60 inch wide material. It is just the right length. Mine was 60" long and 13" wide.
Standard bolt fabric is 44” I can see going with length vs width. But not on 60” wide fabrics. I’m confused
She is talking about the width of fabric, salvage from salvage. Most fabric is 45 inches wide salvage to salvage. Minky fabric comes 60 inches wide from salvage to salvage.
Thank you!!!!
Can't hear a word you are saying with the machine running.
Too bad you keep talking when the sewing machine is going. There is a lot you are saying that is not audible.

Good tutorial but difficult to hear speaker over the noise of the sewing machine
