Slayer retires, the entire world goes to shit
LOL my thoughts exactly
November 2019: Oh no, Slayer's retiring!
December 2019: Covid starts
Literally
This band never caved to mainstream bullshit, always kept it intense thrash and heavy. Never will there be another Slayer. FUCKING SLAYER!!!
Best band I ever seen live !
10 times total over the years and they ALWAYS fucking brought it !
Here Here !
FUCKING SLAYER ! ! ! \m/
Yes they did. They tried jumping in the Nu-wagon in 98.
Never caved to mainstream?... Dave Lombardo would have some comments to that. And imo Slayer was not Slayer anymore since Jeff passed. But each to their own.
the only time you will see a slayer fan cry
That moment of reflection and acknowledging his fans as he stands there is something
Very cool (in my opinion)
yes id agree
Where is the best one Mr LOMBARDO
Kerry dropping his chains was a HUGE statement !
What did he mean with dropping his chains? He just did it and walked off the stage
@@marcelofg4214 the symbolism of dropping the chains was...that was it...Slayer is DONE!
@@jamesnorthan3284 oh damn🥺 i see
I like how some of the fans were chanting "Thank you, Slayer!" like it was a WWE event.
I liked that too - it was totally organic too - not planned at all
And I completely believe, they were the best band out of the big 4 tour. DAMN STRAIGHT!!! 🤘🤘
I don´t care much for Metallica, they conquered the main stream and that´s fine for them.
For me it was always bands like Slayer and Megadeth that were the soundtrack of my life...
You know if Jeff & Dave were at this gig I would have literally cried like a baby Slayer finishing, the fact that those 2 weren't there made Slayer retiring, well....a little bit more easier to accept, I think Tom knew this too, still heart broken mind, the guys have earned their rest from playing this brutal stuff for nearly 40 years, Legends.
They retired just in the right time. As if they knew what was going to happen in 2020. Thank you Jeff, Dave, Kerry, Tom, Gary, Paul! Thank you to ALL SLAYER Crew! Hail SLAYER!
I absolutely LOVE how Tom took the time in each city to look at everyone in detail.
We will miss you as well...
He was recording in his mind all the crowds for last time
With style and grace, they put the pedal to the floor and ripped through the years without compromise, no soft side, hard and completely efficient. They did it THEIR WAY. 🤘🤘
Man, watching this made a strange fluid build up in my eyes. So glad I went to see them in Orlando in 2018 during their first leg of their Farewell Tour although I gotta say that anyone lucky enough to attend this show was even more fortunate than I.
We'll miss you guys...Slayer forever.
Pretty sure Tom just wants to watch his grandkids grow because he missed out a lot with his kids.
That's the rumor
yep ! that's what i heard too
Same thing with Mitch Harris of Napalm Death. He took time off for his ill parents that both passed away and decided to stop touring altogether. He wants to spend time with his kids too.
i seen slayer at the L.A. sports arena in 1991. security was up due the gulf war. its was complete chaos and the pit filled the whole floor of the arena. still the best show i ever seen.
Tom done the same acknowledgement to Dublin fans, which i was at... Almost brought a tear to my eye... SLAYER FOREVER
Yup...choked me up too
Slayer 💗
The brotherly love these guys have for each other is amazing. God bless all of them
Thanks to you my adolescence and youth was great. You complied and leave an indelible mark around the world. Thanks guys.
Beautiful video
Thanks as bunch
this actually brought a tear to my eye! thank you SLAYER!!!
Tom is great but the 2 people who made slayer remarkable aren't there. Shame and so it goes.
Yeah...
But Slayer wouldn't be Slayer without Tom.
Period.
His presence alone as a frontman is EPIC.
SLAYER the band, the crew and the fans, we're like one big family.
Never failed to put on a great show, albums always hit the mark.at some point it has to end before it looks silly. Slayer struggled with th loss of Jeff as did we...thank you for the music
Thank you Tom. So glad I was able to go this show
Yeah...not to be missed at all!
I'm honored to have seen slayer. This was my first and last slayer concert. It was a very touching experience to see so many metalheads United in honoring these legends.
@@mtp6572 agree completely
SLAYER IS BACK!!!
I know that God was there that day looking upon everyone and how they embraced each other with open arms. I feel like that is was God wants for everyone. Slayer is and was an amazing band
SO SICK SICK SICK!!! Thanks for sharing.
Can’t wait for the reunion tour
"I don´t believe in religion
but I fear a slayerless society... "
-very freely after a quote of some guy...
So profound. Love it!
They'll be back..... They always come back.
For some reason, I truly think it's over for them.
llore loko, entero vivo el Tom Araya
Matter of time to see them back on tour one more time....just wait and see
That was fuckin brilliant .... I was at the last show in the UK in 18 .....
So glad I seen them on the Reign in Blood tour .... Slayer will always be played in my home for years to come xxx
Long live slayer.
I only saw Slayer live once. It was during the Clash of the Titans tour and word of mouth was in those days Slayer either absolutely put on an amazing show or they just sort of phoned it in. Mind you, I had only heard this through rumor. Every one I personally spoke to said they were amazing to see perform. The night I went to see them the lineup was (I think - it changed nightly) Anthrax, Megadeth then Slayer. I was exhausted by the time Slayer came on and yet I still remember having a great time, some 30 years down the road. Watching this, seeing how much Tom appreciates everything the fans gave him, that we all meant as much to him as Slayer meant to us, it's so fitting and awesome. Thank you, to everyone who played in the greatest heavy metal band of all, and to everyone who made sure the world knew to sit up and pay attention. Now I'm off to go carve SLAYER into my forearm and cry into the open wounds.
Saw them on the original clash of the titans tour in Darien, NY and they absolutely crushed! Megadeth followed with anthrax headlining. It was a very dry and dusty venue and I remember reading an interview with Kerry King asking what the most memorable moment was of that tour...and named that show, thinking the fog machines were still on when they broke into Hell Awaits...but it was all of us, in the pit, kicking up dirt! Lol. We called it the dust bowl...we had white Slayer shirts getting into the pit, but by the time we came out, they were black! Wish I could relive that day!!!
I was there, Slayer was great as usual!
Thank you DAVE LOMBARDO !!!!!!
Damn this made me tear up.
8:07 had me in tears
THANK YOU SLAYER!!😝🤘
Thank you very much..I say it myself..HEil Slayeeeeeer!
Tom did this at the Glasgow gig also ,I thought he was a roadie to start with but just stood there taking it all in....👍
I'd save a whole week's check to see Slayer live
👏👏👏
🤘
I was front row center on the barricade both nights. The crowd at both shows was weak, weak, weak. That’s been happening for years now.
The option of them doing a "Motley Crue" is there, HOWEVER I don't think for a moment, Slayer would do this.
They have put the era to Bed, very much like Led Zeppelin or Abba have done.
I'm still bummed out here in 2021. Where are they now?
Man I did cry when they played there last show Slayer has and will always be a big part of my life on this spinning ball of mud.....
Live fast, on high... Repentless, let it ride!
Every time I feel like I need to cry I watch this video i just hope this wasn’t the end but if it is i got to see them 4 times and it was amazing every time there won’t ever be another slayer
I just saw my balld ass head! SLAYER!
The moment they come back hopefully one more time, is the moment we got to lose our shit.
Even tho I never really cared about slayer.. it's always sad to see a band retire
Now, if Megadeth and Machine Head retired as well, the world would truly have ended...
Why do I get the feeling Kerry is always thinking about Dime in the back of his mind.
Except.....Dave ( and Paul, and John) should've been there
front row..and not a single head bang?
Eventually Tom will get sick of playing with the grandkids and will be itching to get back in the studio
Fooled once again! Even Slayer Did It!!! 😂😂😂😂
Lmfao ofcourse they werent really done. Wow. Bet all those people who got emotional in thr crowd and actually spent tons of $$$$ making sure to see it and buying merchandise feel extra great about this...😂😂😂
no lombardo no slayer u.u
and PMRC says slayer is bad
U know Metals Dead when the people arent even moshing anymore. Its just a bore fest full of cell phones in the audience these days. So glad i grew up when it was Real
Yeah I agree last fucking thing I want to do watching slayer is look at my fucking phone recording ...
I used to talk to Tom Araya's wife. Cool girl. She told me they have a ranch down in Texas. Can you imagine Tom Araya raising cattle? I can't. I guess it's not that kind of ranch.
I wonder where in Texas
They quit cause they were tired of playing to lame crowds like this.
Your mom is lame
Not so thrashing ! German Thrash scene is a real deal. Unlike American posers.
Notice how nobody, not even you liked this comment.
Ur a dumbass
if you picked another band to pick on, I MIGHT have agreed to a degree...
But Slayer? Oh wow, lol, no...
Ok this is enough !
Come back we need fuckin Slayer !!!!
