We will be very lucky if Tom gives us one more Slayer album. I've heard the rumor a few years ago about him wanting to stop touring. That will be a sad day for us Slayer fans.
I've always thought that Araya is the best damn thrash metal singer in the genre. The way he spits out all those hellish lyrics with such furious aggression and intensity - nobody can top that. His vocals are the perfect fit for the extreme intensity of Slayer's music. Slayer is such a great band because it has the full package - great guitar riffs, amazing drumming and then amazing vocals and lyrics too. You put all that together and it creates such a powerful effect.

I now have a 13 yr old discovering Slayer. Watching him figure out the lyrics and the music is a joy. It is a shock to me when I realize how old I am now and how long I have loved metal. Now that my son has found it, I get to rediscover metal all over again. LOVING IT!
This just made me Love and Respect my favorite band more . I just hope the next generation of fans and bands don't forget this. Thanks Tom!!

Tom is concentrating more on his vocal delivery and that makes him even more powerful. I saw them July 28th 2015, right in the front and i think i was one of those people with that stare he was talking about 'cause he had me totally convinced!
With Tom and Dave Mustaine having to get neck surgery, I see now why Hetfield stopped his constant aggressive headbanging around the Justice era. Smart move.
vio2112 - jason had neck issues real bad, and he apparently had to have his shoulders fixed.
Heavy instruments alone will screw you up, but head banging is the worst for you
Even Hetfield had surgery; he talked about it when he was on Joe Rogan's podcast. Headbanging always seems to catch up with these guys in the end (George Fisher being the one exception).

I can't imagine the day Slayer stops making music. I'm so fortunate to have seen bands like Slayer and Megadeath and Metallica and Lamb of God. I would have love to have seen Pantera.

Tom had the coolest headbanging. He would flail his hair when the band played Serenity in Murder, Angel of Death and War Ensemble.

It's 31 years ago this November since I first saw Slayer live and I got to meet Tom, Dave and Jeff after the show. All three were great, but Tom stood out; he was as approachable, down to earth and as humble then as he is now. Yeah, I love the guy. Tom's badass but also a gentleman. A true heavy metal icon. \m/>.

I ordered hell awaits and show no mercy direct from metal blade.....their catalog was a yellow printed piece of paper with all the classics...trouble...hallows eve...fates warning etc....the good old days. gave my mom grass cutting money and she wrote out the check....got my cassettes a week later
