The Chinese definitely weren't the first people here. There have even been ancient ruins found in the Great Lakes, and they've found evidence of the Vikings making it all the way to the Mississippi River. They definitely teach nonsense in school, at least here in the United States.
In the past we Turtle Islanders and people of the Asia's went back and forth, and not just the Chinese, including Polynesian people. If you go to New Zealand and find the petroglyphs and make your way to Bella Coola you will find nearly the same petroglyphs there.
