The pink dress thing, like no one should be limited in their choice of clothes cause of their HAIR COLOR!! The pink is great, so is the green, but I like the pink better. I mean come on, the red and pink make her look like a strawberry or strawberry ice cream! Who doesn’t love a good strawberry pink and red combo?

@@HeXtian yeah rewatching the animated movie, that’s exactly what she reminded me of in that scene. But idk I probably already have a preconceived notion of red and pink with strawberries, cause I have an oc with those colors that I associate with strawberries. It’s weird tho cause that oc was made to be a lot like me and I don’t like strawberries at all.🤣 I like the way they look. Especially with strawberry flavor to basically where it’s always PINK cause it’s mixed with white substances. Milk, ice cream, vanilla cake, etc. it’s weird really

For me, the green dress will always be miles better than the pink one, it just makes so much more sense and has way more colour interest.

I have ALWAYS been baffled by the claim that redheads don't look good in pink (also that redheads can't pull off red lipstick).

yeah, and prime examples being our girl Ariel and another being the iconic Jessica Rabbit who rocks red lipstick and even Giselle from Enchanted who we first see as a ginger in a PINK COTTAGECORE DRESS!!!!
Lucille Ball literally rocked so many iconic pink outfits and she looked soooo good, so idk what people are saying haha!
Plus there are so many variations of naturally red hair, and many shades of pink. Not all combos are great, but that doesn't mean you should throw out the baby with the bathwater!
I wish Halle could see these dolls. I think they would make her so happy.

While re looking at the gorgeous pink dress I still love it but if she had the same dress like this with pearl but in the color of Teal that would look gorgeous. Maybe you can save this dress for Melody Ariel's daughter (if they make a live version of Little Mermaid 2.)
I wonder if I should combined Ariel's Pink dress with Melody's pink Dress ya I'm gonna go for it and draw it anyway.
I feel more nostalgia for the pink dress, however I think the new teal one goes better with her hair and complexion. The pink washes the animated Ariel out. I think it would’ve looked STUNNING on Halle’s Ariel though. Love this look!

I love the Rococo elements of this dress. It’s very Robe ala Francais, but also very Victorian/Edwardian with the leg of mutton sleeves. And the hair is just giving Marie Antoinette with a Gibson girl twist.

When l was young there were not many beautiful dolls that represented African American women authentically, but as l have gotten older the representation and expression of our essence has now been replicated in the Barbies that we see today and creators talents have really give me life to see how beautiful African American women are in all of our forms in which you have brought into reality. oh my gosh, as a black girl myself, seeing this comment has me tearing up because I've grown in the generation where there was SO MUCH black girl representation from my own family, to music, to especially art whether in animation or paintings. It's really beautiful to see and embrace black women as not just strong but also, and more rarely, delicate graceful girls deserving of nothing but love. @@HeXtian there was a rumour a while back there that the films private screenings had such good feeback that the ideas for a second film were being written. But as the film didn’t make as much money as they thought. Possibly not though I have wondered how much money they have made from toys.

As always, your Halle Bailey as Ariel dolls are STUNNING! Lowkey now I'm hoping you make one with your interpretation/version of the seafoam dress Ariel wears at the end of the 1989 film (we and Halle Bailey were robbed from this moment in the live-action film).
And to answer your question of the pink or green dress, I do like the original pink dress on Ariel, it's iconic and I think she looks good in it, but... I like (love) the green dress more. I think it suits her more with her red hair, plus I like how it sort of pays homage to her mermaid form, with the green color and the little purple seashells accesories. It's like she's human now, but that mermaid part of her is still with her, does that make sense? I hope it does.

How dreamy! I love the look, and I especially love how the overskirt looks like waves lapping up against the shore, the pearls look like bubbles, it's all very sea-like while still being extremely elegant and cute.

Oh my Disney Enchantment she's gorgeous in the pink dress, I also love how you styled the hair, now I have to find two sheets of paper to draw this doll and put them with my free hand drawing the new combined version of classic and new little mermaid drawings, maybe you can make her glittery dress when she finally becomes human and as for the wedding dress when she and Eric

2. the skin like coat is fine but no doesn't suit Ursula at all
3. the makeup sorry

That dress is EVERYTHING!!!!!!! The volume the details and everything about it is stunning. If that dress could be made life sized I would die. There are no words to describe this look and if you find one then no your wrong because words are an understatement in it`s gorgeous glory.

When I come to the whole red hair and pink outfit, eh....it depends on the person as some people have that kind of more orangie-red and pink doesn't really go good with through that particular color. Those with more redy-red hair on the other hand can rock the pink look without much trouble. Do these are my opinions on that but eh.....do with that what you will

Ariel's aqua green dress is reminiscent of the sea and it's as if her cause formed the shape of a dress, and it highlights her strong red hair well, I love it, it's one of my favorite Disney dresses, but I also love the pink dress of course, it's a classic, I like to think that Ariel has a formal gala dress which is pink and an "everyday" dress which is the green dress. 🇧🇷❤️😊 love the vídeo

As a redhead myself, I've never been a huge fan of hot pink on me. Just doesn't work. Pastels and deep colors, sure, but not in your face highlighter pink. I like cooler colors the best- they bring out the red in my hair and make me feel pretty.
I feel like Ariel doesn't look *bad* in the pink dress, but the green dress definitely looks better imo

I used to work at Disneyland in the character department and I was told that Ariel’s dress went from pink to green in the parks because they already had a princess with a “pink-ish” dress which is Aurora and they wanted to give Ariel her own color. I personally loved the pink dress and think they should bring it back because the dress was in the movie! She never wore a green dress in the film at all!

I never really minded that redhead characters are wearing pink, I think it's pretty. I don't know if some people don't like it cause it's too common to see or the only color they can wear besides green, or it's tacky that redheads shouldn't wear pink cause it blends too much to their fair skin.
