We own this BH130 attachment for our 299D3 skid steer. I don’t recommend it primarily because there is only 2 inches of ground clearance when attached to a skid steer. There is not even enough clearance to drive down a gravel road, so unless you are only operating on pavement, it is useless on a farm or construction site.
Hi Mike, would thicker wear blocks between the skid steer boom arms and chassis allow for the attachment to be carried higher allowing more clearance between the ground and the outriggers? Really like the idea of this attachment but 2" of ground clearance is probably a deal breaker. Thanks
Sounds like a good idea but nope . If you rase the boom the lower bracket won't work . I have dug a fue hundred stumps , some very big . It has a lot of power . And ok visibility in the hole . But the low ground clearance is a big flaw in the design . I like it ........but if I had it to do over I would buy a mini ex . If you would like to buy it from me I'll make a video of me digging with my new mine ex and post it on here .... lol ...
Coach Espinoza I was thinking of getting a mini excavator or a skid steer. Does getting this attachment negate the need for a mini excavator?..and sticking with skid steer/excavator attachment. If it’s really 20k…I’d rather buy a used excavators.
How good would this attachment be for digging around house foundations and occasional footings? Is a mini X going to be a lot faster? It looks like these skid loader backhoes have come a long way from the old ones. How deep will this attachment dig?
i have several thousand hours in a 303.5 and i would take that over any attachment. mini is very nimble, fast digging, great view of what you are digging, has better ground clearance, can get close to foundations... it goes to every job everything else is as needed. When digging is concerned.

It's sells for about 20k . That's a lot but you get a bucket force of about 8k lb It's equivalent to a 3 ton mini ex , and you run it from in the cab warm and dry
Mike n2587n it’s a great looking attachment but looks like kind of a pain to get set up with that bracket and then having to tighten that bolt up. The 150 I have set mine up so I can stand outside and run controls and have hooked up or disconnected in like 3 min. Great video thanks again.

I have a sit outside the cab backhoe attachment, when doing trenches it’s great to see the bottom, I think this unit would not let you see the bottom straight down where its most critical for depth control. I do like that you don’t have to get in and out to move the unit.
This is a MASSIVE Amount of "rig-a-ma-rool" to "slap-adapt-a-late" to the track-loader with the "goofy" brackets; would be a "Real PAIN" in the "Real World" of Mud & Dirt. The "Real World" would NEVER have a Clean-Flat floor, Super Clean-Machine & a Technician "hopping around" in sneakers,shorts on a bright "sunny day ". Beyond ALL the " monkey-bussines" its VERY LIMITED Ground clearance ,it would SURELY get "Hung-up" WAY TOO Easy. It would be "WAY BETTER" if mounted on the BACK! ( too bad for the "cusshy-off-er-ators" that like to sit an spin with the "tunes" air-conditioning,& heat "blasting" on them boys).

Unlike a mini x you could put behind the tractor 10 feet from the trench. 3rd if the trench caves in you can't do anything , if you aproch the trench from the side you have no ware to put the dirt ... so some draw backs . You can dig the shit out a tree stumps through.

Yep that is true . The low ground clearance is a design flaw for sure
Can you not lift the arms up a bit when travelling?
No, it can't be lifted while traveling. It is secured to the frame with a non-movable bracket.

There are some limitations. You can not spin around to put the dirt behind you . It is more like using a backhoe.
