The coil may be getting hot off of the 12v but in all reality you shouldn’t be leaving it energized too long without fluid running through it anyway. Typically coil/injectors respond “better” to more voltage (why we run 14 and 16v systems on a lot of race cars) so professionally I wouldn’t think a short hit of 12v would be damaging. Either way, nice to see someone correct themselves and their error and have humility about it No problemo, everyone has it a little wrong at times!
Thank Jeff. You always provide great insights regarding repair techniques and parts reviews. I truly appreciate it.
Very welcome
Thanks Jeff !!!
Thanks for the pro-tip 👍🏼

Oh, and you can test and clean car injectors the same way for anyone interested. Common way to do it 👍
In need of some throttle therapy -- and KTM starting therapy ;)
Doesn’t running the filter sock in the fuel tank eliminate the chance of the injectors clogging?
Even if its fine enough, it doesn't protect the injector from any particles (or gunk) originating from the tank, pump or fuel lines.
Make sense Jeff must be a misprint in the instructions👍
What's the hose out of your face..,
Another good catch. Thanks Jeff
Thanks for watching
Thanks Jeff!!
