Peru's north coast would hold surprises for us we didn't expect. Filled with tropical sandy beaches, remote peninsulas covered in marine life, only overshadowed by one major issue.
As we move through the country in our 4x4, we find one region varies so greatly from the next, it's nearly uncomparable to the last. Our experiences camping in the remote northern deserts of Peru, would only be the start to this massive South American country.

Right before the New Year in the middle of a 4 day overlanding trip we found 3 abandoned dogs, 2 abandoned cats and 1 kitten. We got animal control out to save them and we took the kitten. So I can really appreciate your story. Crazy hu?

Thanks for this. We’re in Colombia and will remember this when we’ve driven through Ecuador. But we’re retired so we move slowly. We’ve heard from every traveler how filthy Peru is so we’re bracing ourselves.

Hey there :} thanks for another super nice video :) plan to do a southamerika trip but with motorcycle. How was the Situation for you guys with your camera / media equipment? Especially the drone? Is there a registration necessary in each country? Do you need to pay something like import duty?
Thanks man! Nah nothing required for any of the countries really, Belize technically has a drone ban but they don't ask if you have one. Nicaragua is the only country that has a serious drone ban. You have to ship it to Costa Rica.
