I'm not sure if I read or saw it somewhere but same sex couples use watches as a token of their "union" because it is less obvious. In 2018, there was an episode of Run BTS where Jin & Namjoon were a little extra affectionate and they both made it a point to take off and mess with their "couple's" watches (Rolexs). Namjoon's is blue and Jin's is pink. The super funny part is that in that episode and again on one of his Eat Jin episodes, he says that the watch doesn't work. A brand new $50 thousand dollar watch?? Yeah right. What I highly suspect is that I don't think he can read a traditional analog watch. My daughter and nephew only use digital. No matter what, my daughter can't figure it out (basically cuz she doesn't have to). It's no big deal, I just think it's funny. I think it's so sad that they can't openly profess their love for each other because of the significant financial aspect of it. 💜❤️
Another fact is that the first time they used these watches "live" was on November 14, every 14th of every month in Korea couples usually wear accessories (be it watches, rings, etc.) and a Korean girl made a publication on his Instagram that Nam and Jin were going to visit his flower shop since 2018 (when they started using watches) the funny thing is that the flower shop is specialized in wedding flowers (sorry my english is not good at all)
