  • The weather in North Carolina has been unseasonably warm and we still have so much garden prep to do! Today we're tackling the rest of leaf cleanup and pruning back perennials. Plus - our tulips have started to bloom!! Come get a sneak peek before we post our official tulip tour!

    Why do you remove leaves from flower beds? I spread leaves over mine as I heard that they add nutrients to the soil. I was going to add mulch over them when the weather get nicer here but now am second guessing myself.

      This is a great option! We remove the leaves so it looks cleaner but next year we’ll be crushing the leaves and putting them back to preserve the nutrients.
