- So what’s the deal with iType and 600 Polaroid B&W Film? How does it compare to their color film and is it worth looking at?

I really enjoy the B/W film, especially with a yellow filter. For a while they had the black frames too.
Love the black and white video. I seemed to be enjoying shooting with the 600 B&W film.
That is a cool red and white checked house.
Interesting idea to convert by scanning the colour to black and white.
I hadn’t considered that. I will need to do a comparison
Agree with all your points. I find the transformation the B&W film makes from what’s in front of the camera to how it looks on the print is magical. Your assessment on DR is spot on - shoot for the highlights, let the shadows fall where they may.
Heyy i love your channel! Can you please make a video about those photos after some months to see how are they and how b&w film changes over the time?
Yep!
Does this b&w film respond well to orange/red filters? Fuji b&w gives a very low contrast result, opposite than anticipated!
No idea- but due to the contrast and unique look I would be very hesitant to use anything other than a ND filter.
I wonder how the blacks look when compared to the Instax stuff?
Last time I tried the Fuji material, I was devastated. While it looks B&W, there is an odd color cast to the images. And when I scanned, I realized that it's actually a very low color saturation color film... not what I expected.
Yeah I do not like Instax BW- it pales in comparison to Polaroid BW-
The problem with B&W new polaroid films is time (and color too btw). Who knows what these films will look like 5, 10, 30 years from now. From what I've already shot, not promising at all.
Yep- dark storage helps- my needs are immediate so once I’ve scanned the Polaroid I’m done with it- it is just part of the process to the final artwork -
