Timely forsure! God highlighted this story in John 5, 2 nights ago. Last night I prayed about what episode of the chosen to watch and watched season 2 episode 6. In this they are recounting this story along with Mary backsliding. Today I here this sermon. Amen, now time to be a doer of the word.

@ThePorch, What doesn't get addressed in messages like this are personality disorders especially BPD that involve traits that are often labeled as the result of an attitude of victimhood. As the believer continues to experience these ingrained patterns of thinking & behaviors these people with BPD (pwBPD) develop strong doubts about their faith. They also experience the same kinds of often impatient and/or intolerant reactions from others in their faith community. Worse is the overwhelming fear that we are rejected by God because we aren't experiencing significant changes in the BPD traits. For the pwBPD who are undiagnosed thus unaware of the underlying cause of these traits a message like this can lead them to very disturbed thinking and dire consequences. While I don't disagree with the message I do think a subsequent knowledgeable message should be offered to address the reality I'm sharing about and am personally struggling to overcome.
@HEY DONNIE!Yes, I've seen all of his content and I'm using his bpd workbook. Thank you for the encouragement! And praise God for the renewing of your mind.
I'm so sorry. People can be cruel at times twisting and throwing scripture at others for their own agenda because it gives them an excuse to not help others. Just because that was the paralytic man's issue doesn't mean that it is applicable for anyone who struggles.
@@melaniemartin4319 i think the series theme is 2 Corinthians 5:17!! And the story JD speaks about was from John 5 about that man who has been sick for 38 years and Jesus told him to pick up his mat and walk. ◡̈
I truly believe these sermons are a blessing. Praise God

So powerful. Thank you for this sermon! ❤
Great message. I do wish we talked about more addictions than just the lustful/sexually immoral ones though.
Indeed!🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is a young adult oriented church so the sexual ones are highly abundant
