I hv 12 years of experience...i can tell you that after 10 years of experience..koi farak nhi padta if u r b.tech or diploma holder...i m b.tech holder...agar aap multi national company mein jaate ho..toh shayad aapko designation mile based on your qualification. But mid level company mein koi nhi puuchta...vacancy bhi aisi aati hai -required b.tech/diploma, exp 5 years.. Agar aapne b.tech ki hai..koi govt job mein jao, ya koi mnc pakdo ya bahar chale jao..nhi toh India mein labour bane reh jaoge.

I m also working as a fresher site engg .problems facing is how to operate total station,drawing reading ,bbs.even the engineer who is working in the site for 3 years will not tell u . He dont want to share his knowledge .

Civil site jobs are worst in india....Long working hours, Less holidays. You have to work on Sundays also. Low salary and less increment as compared to other sectors.
My CS-IT friends reach the salary package of 1-1.25 lacs per month in 5 years.....and my civil friends are still working on 35-40k per month.

Good information nice brother.i am civil engineer experience to have six years in private company but I feel that there r many problems face to civil engineer at site.junior engineer has not to growth cause a problem of sistem.as like site incharge pm gm.his life far away to society and city culture.this is not good for his health.its more better doing the risk business any where.
