      Greetings. I’m also new to graphics and from my understanding, once you turn a text into a path it is now a .png or .svg file which are both easily uploaded into design space after saving the paths into a file on your computer. Saving them as one or multiple svgs is optional I suppose

    So, if I understand this right, after doing this, we then get cardstock in all of these colors and individually cut each section using Cricut design space and then glue it all together?

    • @jennysandoval3933
      @jennysandoval3933 3 роки тому

      Yes . DS will organize them on different mat colors so we know that each mat will be cutting a new color. Once all the cuts are done, we glue everything together. If you go to her videos she does have one on how she pieced this project together. :)

      Inkscape just had a major update so everything looks a little different now. As for the fonts...Inkscape does not have it's own fonts. It works off of fonts you have downloaded to your computer. I get all of my fonts from CreativeFabrica. I have a membership so I get them all for free. Hi!When i get to the point on creating layer, i follow it step by step but my font turns black and it enlarges both numbers, it doesn't keep one number small and one big. So when i go to layer it, it is way off?! Am i doing something wrong?

    • @CrystalsCrafties
      @CrystalsCrafties  3 роки тому

      There could be a few different reasons for that but the easiest way to fix it is to duplicate each number and then create the offset so that you have the original just the way you want it and you're enlarging the duplicate. Continue on as many times as you want to get all the layers you need.

    • @CrystalsCrafties
      @CrystalsCrafties  3 роки тому

      There isn't really a way to do it in design space. You could duplicate your text and make it a little bigger then attach them together but it won't line up perfectly. Hopefully one day Design Space will have the offset feature.

      What program are you wanting to design in? (Inkscape, Cricut Design Space, Silhouette...)
      I currently have a free Cricut beginner course that will get you started making your own designs and I'm developing a paid Inkscape course as well. That one is not done yet.

      Are you saving as plain SVG or Inkscape SVG? Those 2 formats should work. If you are saving as one of those it may be because some of your elements are not paths. Make sure you convert everything to a path.

    I don’t find this helpful at all. You assume everyone know how to use ink space. We can’t get any of it to work, because you tell use to control one two three, but not what to hit to get one tow three. None of it makes since.

      Are you talking about the linked offset? If so, push CTRL and zero/the right parentheses ")".

      Yes that’s it. Needed to know that to make it work. Inkscape is not easy to work with.
