I used to like watched Ancient Drama (about ancient times) but now I don't like it anymore because the more i grow up the more i understand that all the suffering that occured during ancient marriage times is majority caused by Poligamy Custom that ancient society treat as like "it's a good trait" but in reality the Poligamy System caused sooo much suffering for women. The men can not feel the suffering of their's wifes coz the men are the one enjoy the Poligamy, not women.
The more wife you have the more problem/conflict that will arise,

You on the right track! Although watching drama and learning from other sources a bit more wouldn’t hurt, too.😀 Perhaps then you’ll see that this system was mainly to further political and/or personal connections. Thus, it was mostly for higher status people. Having many wives require that you're capable of supporting/affording them, too, in the firstplace. Many mouths to feeds.😮

why can she say theyre both sisters by blood when the emperor asked why do she care so much to the empress. why can't she say she is her elder sister to the empress? or does that cause havorc in the relationships and appearance in the political courts? just wondering, because elder sister doesn't care if she or her little sister an Empress title, because they are both sisters, and she doesn't want to disturb her relationship with the Empress little sister for that title at this point in time. was it considered not acceptable in the eyes of the public where talks can spread around? can it stay within the two sisters and the husband, the Emperor. or does that cause a rift in their marriage(s) (sisters to the Emperor).
