Duran was probably the best fighter who could seamlessly transition from offense to defense and back again. Prograis definitely has some of that, although not quite as good.
Obviously no where near durans level, but can see the elements he’s brought into his game.
Can agree with that. It came natural to Duran cause he fought more of a Squared up style that let him pull the hips from either side. Prograis does the same in his fight. He squares up in defense to generate the power from both hands. My only concern is that he likes to leave his gloves low when using head movement for defense. He could get clipped. But Devins power is a huge concern at 140. He was a HUGE 135lb'r and couldnt hurt anyone. He did land some hard shots to Lomas body but the power to hurt someone isnt there. I think Haney is prolly gonna win the fight. But it wouldnt suprise me if Prograis knocks Devin out.
@@denniswilson372 I think Duran being able to blend them seamlessly was partially because his narrower stances also worked for defense. I won't call his stance squared, except in the clinches. He never really followed his opponents to pressure them. He would pivot on the backfoot and look for opportunities to counter as the boxer-mover came in to hit him.
Just want to apologise for some mistakes I’ve noticed in this reedit. Such as the the knee segment. I had to change some stuff around because I had issues with the original edit. But hopefully these small mistakes don’t take too much away from the video. I’m human and can make mistakes. I’ll be better going forward! 👊

His power and great video Jamie they’re underestimating him and they’re looking past him. I think he’s going to dog walk Devon and everybody’s leaving out the fact that Devon sucks against South Paws and gets touched way too much for a power puncher like Regis. Great video man.
Thank you man. In terms of Haney vs Prograis…I think Haney will do his best to keep on the outside. I feel Prograis could struggle to close the distance as seen in the last fight. But I doubt Haney can keep Prograis off him for all 12. Plus the southpaw factor will help him. But I think it will be close fight.

I definitwly don't like how much Haney and his team have been looking past Prograis. Even if you are the better boxer, if you're not focused against a quality opponent and champ, you can walk into a buzzsaw. We saw that with Teo against Kambosos most recently.
Devin had better be focused fully on Prograis.

He has one of the coolest styles in boxing when he's on. Like Janibek
Regis throws wild punches which could be a downfall against Devin. If he tightens that up and adds boxing he has a good chance of beat Devin. I also think Devin will have more power at 140. He can not make a mistake and punch wild against a now bigger Haney.
Devin isn’t gonna get significantly more powerful from gaining 10 lbs of what’s mostly water weight or fat.
Yeah and Devin was all of 140 in the ring vs Loma and it didn't matter he still got walked down by a smaller man.@@shanebodnar9861

His styles does resembles duran and tyson, hes one of the best of this era, the rougarou.

Just wondering if Regis is a natural southpaw or if he just fights that way? Kind of like all of the Russian fighters who are raised up to fight southpaw even if they're naturally right handed.
Throwback fighter.. I really like his approach to training. Except running in boots because his knees will be shot like ols school guys knees were in the end. he could take less risk but I ain't complaining, I think Haney is in for a long night

The main reason I feel Regis will win is because he is a real one. Haney is a B, he painting his nails, wearing shades and gloves looking like an actor. Yes Haney can fight because he trained to cover up his inner pussy.... Regis is a fighter from the jump, naturally. That matters, and moving up in wheight to fight Regis when he can't knock anyone out..... it's all adding up for me. But we'll see

Only thing that worries me for devin is Regis strength but if Devin got any stronger he might drop Regis his face so wide open it's crazy BUT it looks easy until you're in the ring right

I admit I don't like Devin and think the Loma fight could've gone either way. He has tons of skills, but since Regis is a southpaw, he can connect half as much as Loma did, Haney isn't surviving the night. Onless Devin jabs, movement, and defense can overwhelm Regis for 12 rounds without getting KOD,

Prograis seems like a good young fighter, I like his attitude and style, but Haney imo is more complete and has better technique. I think that’s what will give Haney the victory.

I really hope Prograis sleeps Haney just to put the universe in balance after Loma got robbed. And yes Loma got robbed he clearly beat Haney and almost had him down a couple times Haney had to hold on for dear life.

Nice promo vid for Regis,but He will not beat Haney and with this and his other losses we pretty much know where he stands in the boxing ranks. I love to hear him talk trash with the Louisiana accent but I don't watch him anymore,after the Josh Taylor loss I knew then what level he was on he's good but not elite like Haney. I'd rather see him fight Romero than Haney and it would make more sense for him too as a fighter,Fast Eddie just want the biggest name for him he can find so he can max the pay day out nothing wrong with that for a fighter like prograis because that's about what he needs at this point I his career,because his stock has almost vanished due to his losses and controversial match making,it's obvious that he's not going to make history in boxing or leave any special legacy.
Prograis can scrap. One of his best fights was a loss against Josh Taylor in his prime and he came really close.
He pressures, can take a punch and when Haney tries to grab (zzzzzzz,) Prograis will rough him up. Prograis will connect on Haney's chin.
