I agree. This is my preferred look for Cap. Ever since I had played Marvel Ultimate Alliance (2006) for the first time, I had been waiting for a Cap like this.
Same! Same with the iron man too. Big nostalgia for me.
I was actually a big fan of the mixing of 616 and Ultimate designs as the base skins for different characters on the roster and thought they made the right choices for it overall. Specifically got an Xbox 360 for the additional characters, including Hulk.
@@brentwerley6762 I have it on the 360 but don’t have the hulk. Is it dlc? Or do I need to unlock it it it it
@@Albino_Basilisk It was, and could later be purchased on the gold or platinum hits versions of the game for the 360. Those can be pretty expensive now as I believe it's the only way to get the additional DLC characters: Hulk, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Hawkeye, Dr. Doom, Magneto, Venom, and Sabertooth. It can be pretty expensive on Ebay these days, but I'd say it's worth it if you're a big fan of those characters being playable. The Hulk I feel in particular is the strongest of the bunch, with upgrades that really make him a melee powerhouse in the game.
Literally one of the best marvel games ever homie I had to get it to cause that became his definitive look for me to

If Hasbro put this much love into their figures I'd happily buy them more often, but I'm picking and choosing. This is a definite buy though
I'd like to see this same sculpt but with the brown boots and gloves and a good wash like the Toybiz Ultimate Capt.
That would be nice
I think this shield is new, it is the same size as the 20th Cap, but without the holes. The other shields were smaller
Yay, a good one!
It’s nice to see you excited about a Marvel Legend, man. I think it’s probably often overlooked that, for a lot of guys our age, Legends were the gateway into super articulated action figures.
They were so groundbreaking at the time compared to what we had before.
I LOVE this figure and look for Cap!
I gave it a quick wash and dry brush, along with taking a huge amount of needless plastic out of the diaphragm and gave him a double-ball neck and now he looks and poses phenomenally.
How is the diaphragm joint without the unnecessary plastic? Is it still limited just by the placement/design from Hasbro or does that solve it?
How'd you change up the neck to the double ball?
@@Whoopsie00 it’s excellent. About as much range up and down as a Bucky-Cap ab crunch.
You have a pic?
it’s the ultimate cap but ultimate cap had the grey pants so i’m glad they used the blue cause it still looks classic which is what i prefer, if i wanted to i could paint the grey blue and glue the 20th anniversary head wings into the side and boom, classic cap pretty much
This is my favorite version of Cap hands down. The comic was excellent as well.
Thought this guy looked great back when they first revealed it. My brother was super excited since he loves the Ultimate Universe.
I popped the unmasked head from the 20th anniversary line and a spare brown shoulder harness I had lying around on him. Now he's my favorite figure in the entire collection.
I love the alex ross cap design, but since my first cap figure was toybiz Ultima cap, I am super happy to finally have this version with the updated pinless articulation.
Totally OK with this design. My favorite for Cap, in fact. Looking forward to this figure!
Weird the head seems a little big to me. For stuff like the neck and abs articulation, I prefer the older way just because they seem closer to being executed well than a barbell neck or diaphragm that don't move
I also don’t like the super saturated blue they used for the blue in the figure. ( for those of you who don’t have the figure yes it is really that saturated in person, I’d say the videos don’t actually get it across how intense the blue is on him.) i wish they would have gone with a more natural looking navy blue color that is accurate to what ultimate cap’s color looks like. This Cap is the color of a fresh blueberry
This takes me back to that AWESOME Ultimate Avengers animated movie. The final fight with the Hulk, where he just demolishes all the poor avengers, is my favorite comic book movie fight. It truly captured how terrifying Hulk can be
Same here! I love that movie 🍿
I'm very excited for this figure because as a kid, my first introduction to marvel was the Lionsgate animated Ultimate Avengers movies. They are amazing movies and having an action figure (Mostly) based on that would be very awesome.
Have to agree, the mid section is funky looking, like from his belt to under his chest looks like a triangle, but overall pretty good fig. I still prefer the 20th cap but that's preference. Wish this one had more brighter colors.
80th anniversary is still my favorite but I will admit that this figure is a lot better, the only thing I don't like is the ab crunch articulation but other than that is still a pretty solid release.
Hyped for this figure. I have the 20th anniversary version and love it as well, but I like the modern boots, pinless joints, and hole-less shield for this one. I still prefer the heads on the 20th version though
standards for hasbro are so low, it doesn't have to have a good paint job to be considered the best marvel hasbro figure
I'm I in another universe? Anthony starting a video with compliments! xD
Almost like i give them when they're deserved
I dont really like cap but because this one is executed so well I really like this figure. I prefer the light blue with the wings on the mask to the ultimate but this is 2nd. Figures like this make things like the new spider man wave look so terrible.
Great review Anthony. I am a huge Winghead fan and will take a good Shield Slinger in any one of his variants. But this is something special. I loved the texture throughout the product. Dare we say this one received the ML MCU treatment?
The “she said” always gets a laugh from me.
I would have liked to see all gray pants and brown gloves and boots, but still I do love this. As much as I love it I know it will be around and I will get it eventually.
I was ready for the caption in the thumbnail to be sarcastic, lol. Glad that's it not, though. I was close to getting the classic Cap awhile back and didn't, but I'll be happy to check out this one. I hope they do some other Ultimates, especially Thor.
Thanks for the review, might get this release.
I might argue for a dark wash on the leather belt, but it looks great.
My favorite Cap is the 20th Anniversay because it sports the classic iconic look with the vibrant colors. In my opinion it is still the best Cap Hasbro has released, especially with that amazing Steve Rogers head sculpt. But this is definitely still a must get for me! I love the Ultimates and I will never say no to a new Cap that is done so well.
In comics, I think the suit doesn't have the star on the back and it's way less saturated.
Thanks for your reviews. You've helped me make decisions on several figures. Just pre-ordered this one.
I don't have the 20th Anniversary Captain America figure because of the price point but I will get this new Ultimate Cap because his design looks cool despite not being classic but at least his very own shield doesn't have any holes in it, Fantastic review Anthony.
The middle stripe being white drives me nuts, should be red, devils in the details
I like classic for my figure collection but love this design. One of the few ultimate designs I genuinely like and prefer in general. I'd love to get this one if I could possibly modify the torso articulation with a Dremel but in a review I saw the other day they said they couldn't pop it off which is a bit of a bummer.. my only real issue I'm having with cap figs lately is the abysmal clip flip *on the shield* bull.. they've proven they can do more with the zombie cap, maybe have that with a little hook on his back instead??
Go watch unparalleled universes video, he was able to pop the torso off and used a Dremel, he used boiling hot water and said it took him a bit to get it off but it is possible, the mod added a little bit more range to the ab crunch which imo does make it worth it and adds to the figure
@@tristanwebber cheers man! I'll def be picking him up in that case. Gonna check unparalleled now!
@@tristanwebber omg, so I went to the unparalleled vid and realized I had already watched like 3/4 of it... That was the video I said I watched where they said they couldn't pop it out!! Hahah im dumb!!
Great review as always. This made me break out the old Ultimates comics & I think another key point they missed out on is that he should have a handgun & a holster. Thanks, Anthony.
It's a great looking figure. The only faults are the lack of ab crunch, and the white paint peaking through the scale mail.
Not my Cap, but it would look good on shelf.
I like both Cap's classic anthis look. This'll do as a contemporary 616 version for me.
The C-Grip hand is a waste. He should've had another open palm hand.
I agree with Anthony about it needing a decent barbell neck, waist/ab crunch. Butterfly joints for the shoulders would be cool.
Re: the new shield. The GI Joe Classified Alley Viper does it better with rotating straps on a ring. They could modify that with a swappable version that plugs into the back.
Just went back and saw your top 10 HASBRO legends vid from 6 years ago. Had no idea they used to make figures that good. Thought only toybiz did. Makes sense now when you say they can do so much better.
i love that look for cap and they did such an amazing job on this figure
when the rival clans come out i want some but i would like to know how much you will sell them for when they come out and when do you think you will start selling them
Same here, definitely the best look for an Ultimate Captain America 😊. And one of great figure Hasbro Marvel Legends. They should or must 😅 do many Figures as this one, considering that the Price keeps going Up....😅
The A on his head stands for France.
I'm getting that figure 😍 Thanks Anthony
It's a nice figure for sure but why did it have to be the Ultimate one?! I really hope they will reuse the mold for other versions considering that the upcoming Commander Rogers one seems to have a different mold 😬
I got this figure yesterday!!!!! Finally, Hasbro has made an almost Perfect figure!!!! Just a few more tweeks and Cap would be THE BEST!!!! The diaphragm joint that works and a ball jointed waist would put this over the top!!!! And, The double ball joint neck, too!!!! But, What we got is Soooo much better than Darwin and all the other offerings from the big "H"...Anyways, Cap can still kick ass and crush all the villains he'll face throughout this year!!!!! Totally satisfied with The Ultimate Captain America (See what I did there!!!) Thanks for the Review of a Great Figure!!!! Peace!!!!!
I would prefer this version as this is the best mix of classic and modern gear
For the shield they shiuld just take the clip for the totbiz shield and retool it, it’s a much thicker and sturdier clip. The way the Toybiz Shield looks is better too, it’s actually sculpted rings instead of just painted on
I got mine yesterday. It’s the best ultimate captain America we’ve gotten since return of marvel legends and toybiz. Definitely one of my favorite designs for Cap other than the 616 version. One thing I’m disappointed by is the damn clip on the shield. Why can the mcu cap’s come with shields with plastic straps but not the the comic book versions? Is it really that hard? Plus the plastic on the clip is already stressing out and is ready to break. I recommend using the shield that comes with ultimate captain America from toybiz. The shield is the same color as the one that it comes with, and the clip is more sturdier and it fits well onto the wrist. Great review btw 👍.
Dude we finally get to see who's behind the superior voice 👍
I'd just wait for Mafex's Cap
So refreshing to see a great Marvel Legends figure! Excellent review Anthony❣️🙌❤️❤️❤️😘👏💯👏
Darwin really needs to stop killing everyone
I bought this figure a week ago and the torso where the belt is just easily snaps off the legs idk if he's supposed to have waist swivel but I don't think so.
Was going to skip this one, because I can't stand the mini stars on the arms. I'll get him and customize him, and I'll get a proper shield for my other Cap (I know you said the shield sucks, but I need a non effect shield and this will be my standby one until i find a better one). But I'll wait until it drops in price.
Someone here have a quality issue with the tricep? Mine feels loose and it's like gonna break eventually like if the arm had articulation stress. (like the arm on the Cap Wolf)
Ultimate Cap is my favorite version.
Was going to skip on thisbut now not sure. Haven't gotten any with the non see the figure boxes. Maybe on mad clearance will, though on others. If could find at standard retail, maybe. You are correct that the proportions are indeed better than most.
¡Es muy agradable ver reseñas donde te gustan realmente las figuras! ¡Buenos y entretenidos vídeos viejo!
Unfortunately it's not up to me
Marvelous review! Team Cap! ⭐🇺🇲
The overall look of the figure is great, but the lack of a decent ab crunch makes me like it less than the 20th anniversary Cap. Hasbro should give its figures ball mounted upper bodies with ball mounted waists.
This and bucky cap are my favorite
Im pissed that theres no butterfly joints because we will probably never get another ultimate captain america this good (or really any captain america with this much detail) for a long time again so this one needed butterfly joints
Would ruin the sculpt.
@@brandonamezquita4501 I don’t think so
@@kyoufuwooshieteyarou7206 I think so.
@@brandonamezquita4501 And why’s that
damn, i dropped collecting these and sold the marvel legends i had because of the poor quality and the price hikes but some of the newer ones make me wanna fall back into it
Same here
don't do it. not worth.
@@chataclysm2112 lol
@@sigerlion8608 Yes I reckon most of these new waves are hot garbage except for maybe 2-3 figures in the whole bunch. Well at least they’re not in an indivisible bundle unlike the X-Men ones…
iT'S 2023. THEY NEED TO NORMALIZE THE FF.:
A.) PINLESS JOINTS
B.) BUTTERFLY JOINTS (FRONT AND BACK)
C.) LOWER NECK AND TOE ARTICULATION
D.) EFFECTS
I’d like to get an Ultimate line.
I could see the blood in that fatality… Darwin the ruthless…
Now we need more modern hulk and Thor figures modern ant man and wasp will probably be apart of the haslab with giant man and Goliath
target acquired!
Guy looks like he could throw down.
Im old school. Cap without his wings is like Batman without his ears. It looks off. My preferred era for superheroes is 1970s/1980s but that’s my childhood. But I have a big appreciation for the 1930s through 60s as well.
Im agree with you in body is more proportionate an look cool, but head is little bit big, remember he use super steroids, so his should be smaller but is nice figure overall.
There's a lot i would still change but for ml standards, this is one of the best
Also, just curious, what do you do which requires an accurate monitor?
@@AnthonysCustoms I'm agree on that
I would like someone do a captain america headsculpt (classic with wings) when I look it I says this is the definitive one
I wish Hasbro would've made figures good like this for all of them but sadly that don't happen but I'm glad this is actually good for once
Nice review. Personally I prefer the 20th anniversary Cap and as for the best Marvel Legends to date I'd give it to Modular Iron Man.
Oh look-hasbruh DOES know how to do things well. Looks pretty nice
PS-but they don’t give us the whole nine yards. They have the mold for the other, better shield-F’ING use it! Why have it if it’s never going to be utilized?? One step forward, two steps back, all the time.
7:08 that's what she said 😂
It seems to me that the only thing that was missing in the figure were the wings that go on the mask ... otherwise very surprising.
Ultimate Cap do not have wings in the mask
At least Darwin is still getting much love even with all his problems lmao 🤣
couldve been more jacked but it'll do.
Agreed
Darwin always wins!!! This is the most entertaining and hilarious review. Thank you Anthony. Now I decide to get this Marvel Legends Ultimate Cap than the MCU version.
happy to help
Why would they use the hinge instead of the double ball for a new figure?! If it’s not cheaper then….it’s just baffling.
👍
I think Ultimate and Classic should be the best
Nah he's head is quite big for me
I would have liked a 'friendlier' face sculpt to compliment the shouty one. Cap has never been a Batman
I would have liked brown gloves and boots.
Me too
Umm idk man, that’s a little bit capish to say, Captain America to me seems to have more visible problems than Spiral but I can why you would say that this one’s better.
Having 6 arms doesn't make her better. His sculpt is far superior. More paint too.
I mean you’re right about that but I feel the execution of the paint was better on Spiral than on Cap, the white poking out of the blue of the arms kind of stands out. Thanks for the review, hope everything in your life is going well.
@@CancelHornyCulture i don't disagree about his blue paint but she has almost none to speak of in the first place.
I’m glad we are able to have a civilize conversation about toys without turning it into mad men going crazy over plastic.
Stinky doodoo head
I wold prefer if the classic version was the best.
It's a well sculpted and ok articulated action figure but I have no interest in this Captain America version.
Thanks for the review Anthony.
I'd prefer a classic Cap to be the best one.. mostly because this version of Cap is an A-HOLE.. design looks fine I guess. Also I'm not sure about the blue they went with.. otherwise this does look like a great figure.
I know this will never happen but I'd love if they make figures of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon.. I'm rewatching it at it is BADASS. That might be my favorite version of Captain America along with other avengers like Hawkeye, Wasp, Thor, Wonder Man, etc.
My favorite Cap. That A still doesn't stand for France.
Ultimate Cap was a jerk, so I consider this Ultimate Alliance Cap
I like this version of Cap over the 616, tho I didnt care for the Ultimates continuity.
It’s hard to find a toy line that is constantly consistent to collect legends are so up and down I’m more on comic figures than mcu ones
I feel the exact same way. I think Medicom has done a consistently amazing job for their Mafex comic figures, but they are way too expensive to collect for every character. If Hasbro could get their crap together it would be great, and they would make way more money without having to gouge their own prices to $30+ per figure.
Cap minus the stupid swashbuckler boots? yes please.
Always love the Ultimate look for Cap and i will pick this up.
U were so speechless at the start it’s a rare sight
Might just be ML figure of the decade 🫡
20th is better
that vulcan buck....lost opportunity
Huh?
I don’t like the ultimate universe as a story concept, but this Cap looks amazing. I can’t wait to get this figure and compare to the 80th anniversary fig. The 80th will stay my definitive Cap but this guy is a contender.
