    I got the 16 inch version with M1 Pro processor and 1 TB SSD. I gotta say Apple nailed on this one. Battery is like a double comparing to 2019 version and I haven’t heard any fans plus didn’t get any throttling. Also the screen resolution is fantastic the only downside about this mac is the weight is heavier than 2019 version but I don’t mind I use it mostly on Desk.

      Agree its only a bit heavy otherwise its pretty solid laptop and way better battery life than the 2019 Model.

    I have the 14” MacBook Pro with M1 Pro, and it’s awesome! 💻 Sometimes, I wish I had the larger screen, but I value portability. I also use the MacBook Pro with an external monitor for more screen real estate (but unfortunately, most monitors can’t compare to the MacBook Pro’s display).

    I think subconsciously…I’ve ended up with a lot of the same things in my setups (for e.g. LG OLED TV & the MX Keys!) and I was genuinely considering the MacBook Pro 14”. It’s like you read my mind! Awesome content as always. Keep it up.

    16" MacBook Pro is perfect for me because I use multiple applications at the same time on my laptop, like I play video games in window mode while I'm working on Illustrator and at the same time I open Facebook and UA-cam in Chrome. So big screen, lots of CPU and GPU cores and 64GB of RAM is perfect for me.

  • @heberarguello4077
    @heberarguello4077 2 роки тому +5

    I’m going for the 14” Inch M1 Pro, because of the portability most of all. I think the base model with 1tb will be more than powerful enough for me, I’ll be using it just for graphic design.

    • @harrison00xXx
      @harrison00xXx 2 роки тому +1

      That was also my first idea... 14" base model with 1TB SSD.
      But then i decided to better try the 16".... i came from 15,4" 2010 MacBook Pro, tried my mums 14" Lenovo convertible and realized: 14" is a nogo... too small! 15-15,6" probably.... but not 14,x"!
      with a notebook stand the 16" M1 Pro is literally a small iMac on battery, but still somehow portable. Since i use it a lot on the lap and the internal screen for me 16" was the better choice (and i think its still light/small enough to carry around easily anyways)
      The bigger battery and noticable better runtime under load/brighter screen was also a reason to go for the 16" especially since the price difference was small.

    At first I was set for 16'' because I had the 15'', but ended up getting the 14'' due to limited budget, in the end I'm glad I got the 14'' as I have been moving a lot recently and often work on the go; the 16'' would have been a bit too clunky for on the go use. Also the 14'' can handle 4K video footage editing in Final Cut without a hitch. For the iPhone I agree, I can't get used to how narrow the screen is on the regular iPhone Pro and its just giving me a headache when I use it; for the next one, will get the Pro Max.

    I have a 16” with 32gb and 1tb ssd on order. Coming over from a 17.3” MSI laptop which is very heavy and bulky. My concern is whether this laptop will be big enough compared to what I’m used to!
    This will be my first Mac. I’ve bought a new laptop every two years spending about $1.5k each time. I’ve over specked on this mac but I intend keeping it for at least 5 years.
    Like you I will use it on my desk or on the couch. But I will never buy a smaller screen than this. Just hope it’s big enough.

      I tried them both out in an apple store, feeling the weight, etc. The 16" does not feel overly heavy compared to the 14". Looking at the specs. the 16 is 4.7lbs vs 3.5lbs for the 14. In the grand scheme of things, not super heavy. As for fitting in bags, all laptop bags of normal size should be able to fit a 16" laptop no problem. If you haven't gotten it yet, I'd highly recommend the 16 for you.

How many cycles do you have after 6 months of use? I've started to use Aldente Pro app to let it charge my Mac to 50-60% range and sit on this range to let my battery capacity last longer. to let my battery capacity last longer.

      The ones from Ugreen 60 hz 4K are typically great. Try them out.

    I am a windows man. I have used windows computers my entire 37 years. However, I am slowly moving towards apple products. My first apple product was the ipod classice I bought back in 2009. Loved that device. Since then I have owned several different Apple devices (except their computers) but the devices I currently have are, iphone 11 pro max, ipad pro 11inch (a12x chip), Airpods pro and 3 Airtags, I also am probably only 5 people on the entire planet that still uses itunes and loves it. I love all my Apple products but when Apple announced the M1 macbook pro I began to consider their computers.
    My current computer is an Asus ROG Zephrus M16, I bought new from best buy back in Nov 2021. I like this computer however I kinda wish I had waited and maybe saved up my money to get a Macbook. The only things keeping me from fully switching are, some of the software I use I think is windows only, while I am not a big gamer, I still like to play a game from time to time and the games I play I know are not well optimized for the macbook and the biggest reason is cost. Macs in comparison to windows computer are so damn expensive.
    I would get the 16" M1 Max with 32gb and 2 tb of of storage. I know that thing will cost me over $4k. I'm not really in the mood to spend that kinda money, but dammit I really am getting tired of windows PC's. I use power director to edit my videos for youtube and this computer has such a hard time playing back the 4k footage. It skips a lot during edits despite this being a very new computer that is supposed to be optimized for gaming.
    I have the exact same mouse and keyboard as you and love them both so I know I won't have connectivity issues if I do decide one day to get a mac.

    I dont get why people would get the 14 inch for "portability,: i'd say just man up and carry the slightly heavier, way better 16 inch macbook

    Hello mate I’m using the mac book air M1 but when I open chrome or fire fox and maximize the window I see a screen lag it lasts for less than a second but with safari and other apps like telegram it’s awesome and no proplems at all what do you think of it ?
    Is that a normal thing or there is an issue?
    Thank you

    100%.... 89 charging cycles!
    Easily dont charge always to 100% and set a charging limit with AlDente which is actually fitting your needs.
    I personally can do my daily stuff on battery with 50-70% charge and come back with 30-50%, if i need more i mostly charge anywhere up between 80 and 100%.
    Especially with the 16" model its crazy how long this battery lasts, no need for more than 80% charge anyways in most cases.

    Wait a second… why do you edit work on a not 100% RGB correct screen?
    And when you have an colorcorrected screen in the Macbook Pro, why not use it as the ref screen next to the curves one with your timeline?

    I would go for M2 Max 14inch with 32GB ram and 2TB storage. Would you say that is worth it or get 64GB ram? I plan to keep the laptop for 10 years minimum and use music production software

    • @bassinblue
      @bassinblue Рік тому

      I was recently in your exact situation! I opted for 64gb ram and 1tb storage. End of the day you can always get more storage, but you can't ever get more RAM. I do music as well, professionally. I may not need 64gb ram now, but soon I could be clocking around that, due to my growing business. The laptop will absolutely last you 10 years, as long as you're careful and don't over charge it. You may need to visit Apple just once to get it looked at, but that's if you're not careful. My music has 35-50 tracks, each with plugins. My windows PC gave up completely, but Mac is the way to go, with it's portability and how you can go from studio to studio with it without any issues. It's an investment, remember that!

    Do you think Apple will ever get into video gaming? Currently Apple arcade is providing some really good mobile games, but I can't really say weather they'll ever make some tripple A tittles to take full advantage of m1 chips

    • @SpawnPoiint
      @SpawnPoiint  2 роки тому +1

      I really don’t think they will. Unless they do VR gaming.

    • @bassinblue
      @bassinblue Рік тому

      Apple has always made products as convenient and reliable workhorses, that can get the job done. It's fast, it's capitalism, it's money! That's their approach, in my opinion and why I think they're not interested in the gaming sector.
