This is a different type of format where we do just some initial reactions to insane college new grad jobs and salaries. The majority of these new grad jobs and salaries are computer science related (i.e software engineer or software development). Hopefully seeing some of these absolutely crazy starting salaries will provide some comfort if your a computer science major (or some programming related major) while your finishing your programming assignments haha.
I came across a super diverse group of new grad jobs and companies, ranging from big tech companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tesla and Uber to government agencies and robotics companies.

Usually the year one bonus you will get all at once on your first check, then the year two bonus is divided up on each paycheck for that year. That’s how it was for my Amazon offer

Got into a Data Science and Artificial Intelligence program at the University of Liverpool; I studied Sociology and Philosophy in Undergrad. These salaries definitely instill hope.
Definitely a good field to get into, but also there may be a sample bias here as people with lower salaries may be less likely to share! Good luck!

5%/15%/40%/40% in my understanding is just you get way less if you quit before 4 years. Worse than evenly distributed stock 25% per year

Okay, but being realistic with the cost of living in California, are those salaries even high enough? How much is a salary for someone living in Texas, or Ohio…? Im starting classes in the fall and I’ll be majoring in CS but I’m not sure if the salary is going to be good living anywhere else than California, Washington, or NY (also having a family of 4 kids for example)
It all depends on cost of living! So using a cost-of-living calculator (www.nerdwallet.com/cost-of-living-calculator), a $120k salary in San Francisco, is about the same cost-of-living as $62,000 in Atlanta, GA!
