Your #1 is so true. I moved here from the St. Louis suburb area. I was taken aback at the friendliness of the people here in KC from the very beginning. It's what I talk about to everyone I know.
Great video dude. I'm Brazilian and I'm moving to kc on the next week and your video made me smile. Tks a lot! I hope to see you there to talk more about the city and take more tips! ✌️
@@livinginkansascity Cool! So, I have a quick question if you don't mind answering me. I rented a little apartment in Westport. Is there a good place to explore the city without a car? Because for while, in the first months I won't have one 😔
@@brenooliveira4070 yea it’s going to be very difficult without a car. There’s a streetcar that goes down Main Street from River Market down to Crown Center but that’s still pretty far from Westport. There are motor scooters you can use or just the city bus which can be challenging.
I'm probably moving there soon. Currently checking out apartments/condos online in the downtown area. I'll have to commute to Lenexa area but looks like the traffic isn't that bad?
I don't know if you've moved yet or not, but KC has many more highway miles per capita than most metros. Traffic doesn't get that bad. You might have some stop and go nonsense on 435. I'd say a 40-50 minute commute.
It depends. From downtown Kansas City it takes about 20 minutes to get to Liberty but Kansas City, MO is also located in Clay county in the northland right next to Liberty too.
Helping someone right now who’s going to be stationed at Leavenworth with the same thing. A couple things will help determine this. Your price point/type of home and your desired commute.
So I'm watching your video and I'm thinking about moving to Kansas City next year from Las Vegas Nevada and I was wondering if you have rentals because I would really love a rental in the area that segregated like Las Vegas
Great video. How come you didn't mention one of the best rappers in the game is from K.C.? Tech N9ne, highly popular and put K.C. on the map for rappers.
Being from KC and now living on the East Coast I can honestly say KC has way better drivers! KC drivers for the most part are considerate and cautious, where I now live it's just ignorant.
@LIVING IN KANSAS CITY I miss the simplicity, food and common courtesy of KC. You never how good you have until you move to a place where paying for parking is like paying rent, and everyone seems to thrive on being jerks. I just have met over the years a lot of people from KC and I tend to like the people from the Midwest a lot more than where I’m from, in the northeast part of the U.S. Maybe someday, I’ll check out KC. Anyway, how can you not like George Brett and the Royals. To all the people from KC, all my best! You guys got style & class!
It sure is! Many international students come to Kansas City both on the high school and collegiate level. Park University, UMKC are a couple that come to mind as well as North Kansas City has an entire international program.
@@livinginkansascity yeah actually I am coming to UMKC, just concerned that some people mentioned crime rate is high! I suppose that was in the past, however, very excited to be in KC
@@zayan1996 yea the crime is heavily concentrated into certain areas primarily where there’s a lot of poverty, gangs, drug dealers ect. It’s mostly bad guys against bad guys. I would highly recommend you do not put your kids in the Kansas City, MO or Kansas City, KS school system. Yes, the suburb districts are fine but Kansas City, MO and KS districts are horrible. For years, the Kansas City, MO school district was not even accredited.

How do you think it compares to NWA? We’re in Fayetteville, and we love it, but the cost of living is skyrocketing here! My husband and I are in our late 20s with a 6 year old and 3 year old.
