I was in a thrift store and had a purse in my cart. A lady came and said “that’s mine” and took it out of my cart. I was flabbergasted. One of the folks from the the store took it away from her and gave it back to me. 😳

My mother and I were extremely close like you and your mom are. We used to go shopping together frequently and always have the best time. We laughed and and acted silly and bought a bunch of stuff we didn’t need. Seeing you and your sweet mom together reminds me of the many great shopping trips I had with my mommy. It’s been 8 years since she passed away and I still miss her! But watching you two makes me happy and nostalgic. You two are so blessed to have each other.I love your relationship. Whenever I watch you and your mum together it makes me miss my mum. She died four years ago. We had times when we would laugh so hard our tummy’s would ache and it would feel like our faces would burst! 😅
My heart goes out to you.. I'm 67 and lost my mom 35 years ago and we used to have great times together as well, shopping, laughing....I love watching Selena and her mom hang out..

Make the areas you grasp the handles more worn looking than the top and bottom of each handle. Try and find a gold paint to match what’s already on the furniture. That’s what u use to softly wipe onto the ends of the handles with a slightly damp piece of toweling or dryish brush

Handles look WONDERFUL and I personally like them old looking. Leave them awhile and decide later if you want to change them. Best things worth waiting for are grand. Love seeing Mom, Pete and the lovely place you live.X0

I would definitely use rub and buff if you want to keep the recessed parts dark. Polishing will brighten it all. I love the handles!

I love the handles, personally I would make them look more like the gold that is on your wardrobe, as it would be more cohesive!

I vote for the rub and buff. I looked 6 years for the perfect sofa. It had a hardwood frame and 8 way hand tied springs. It was $1000 in 1980 on sale. I had it for 40 years until a flood took it away from me. It looked like the day it was delivered.:(

Okay, I think I am the only commenter that would vote for leaving the wardrobe brass handles alone. I am big on contrast & I like the juxtaposition between the gold paint or gold leaf & the darker more aged bronze handles. Much love to you, your Mom, Pete, Millie, Toeby & Sherman❤❤❤
You're not alone! I agree to leave them alone, or at most to just buff the high points for just a tad to match the gold, but definitely not all buffed!
You can use some rub and buff on the hardware.

I was thinking use the rub n buff on the bright gold paint on the wardrobe!! Then the pull handles and the gold accents would match!! BTW I'm going through chemo right now! Doing well, for the most part. Only felt bad on one chemo day (yesterday). Thank you for your video explaining the ins and outs of chemotherapy. You nailed it!!!

I’m so glad you finally found the hardware that you love! My thought would be to just hit the high parts with brass cleaner. I think it will feel better than adding Rub and Buff, and look more genuine.

Pete is such a trooper! As for the handles I would buff out parts of the handle where it would look natural. Where your hand goes on the handle would be more tarnished and the rest would be more polished looking? Or would it be the other way around? Lol It's beautiful.

I advocate for polishing. Use a jewelers Rouge cloth. It will look more golden, but not bright.
That was my thought also. That way there won’t be polish remaining in crevices. I think rub & buff might be too bright.
