This finally looks like something worth the backpack slot.. but honestly still not sure i'd prefer it over my go-to guard dog. Just takes care of so many things.. that said, i mostly play against the bugs, so it depends on how good it is there. Also, it seems worth to take against the illuminate since i dont feel like there is ANY reliable method to take down the tripods reasonably efficient.
@@huh1987 Thanks for the advice, but i was more thinking about taking them down "efficiently". Pretty much everything *can* take them down, yeah, but it feels like there is no single thing you can take to just counter them specifically. You can oneshot pretty much everything else in the game if you take a specific weapon / stratagem for it. Or, i mean, it doesnt have to be oneshot, but feel efficient. Most high damage weapons will not do the trick since they need to get through the shield first, most low damage weapons will need a good line up or take long. I'd just really like something that can remove walkers on sight, no huge setup or lining up shots, like for everything else in the game (if you are willing to take something specific for them). The W.A.S.P. feels like it could be that, but i did not get to test it. Seems like a great weapon in general! I just feel like most offensive stratagems, and most support weapons on top of it, feel kinda lackluster against the walkers right now. I usually play in a small squad and would rather not rely on "somebody will join and we will just somehow throw enough random things at it" as a strategy. I found pretty much everything about the illuminate somewhat easy to fun to deal with, but the walkers somehow felt awkward to deal with. Not hard or impossible by any means, just awkward / inefficient / annoying. If that makes sense. That said, we did not try fire against them. Are you talking about focussed fire, as in close-range flamethrowers, or something alone the lines of eagle napalm?
@Yamyatos well from what I've tested the flamethrower can take them out in around 1/4 of a tank and you can just sit under them while doing it but I've also seen that the primary that shoots mini rockets and does medium penitration can destroy the weak spot in around 4-5 hits
I use to play bugs all the time but now I’m just going to play the new enemies it’s more fun to me

with the way helldivers hold the gun...im expecting they could use this animation for Smartgun LMG like from ALIEN
It would be cool if it could lock onto multiple targets. Also the artillery mode should be able to lock onto smaller targets to kill hordes.

It was only available for about 24 hours a few days ago. We will have to wait for a new major order in order to get it. Hopefully that will be soon

Any medium penitration weapon or higher can take out the area between the body and the legs and fire will just roast them
