- This is my video compilation of every game perfected with score attacks in Rhythm Heaven Megamix (3DS), played on my 3ds capture device. This is the fourth game of the Rhythm Heaven series.
As this game has a numeric scoring system, and perfects weren't really that difficult, I decided to score attack every minigame here. My goal was a 97, which was just difficult enough to be challenging but also reasonable to not drive myself insane. This generally requires getting an Ace input (rainbow on the bottom screen) roughly 2 out of three inputs, though this heavily varies depending on how off my non-aces are. Of course, this also requires getting No Misses (the equivalent of a perfect) and nailing the Skill Star; the score is heavily penalized if either of these aren't met.
There are a few games where I settled for a 96 instead: Lockstep, both Frog Hop games, and Big Rock Finish. The first three I couldn't grind much due to hand pain issues cropping up so I didn't want to risk my health with this. Big Rock Finish was a minigame I really disliked and was getting too frustrated over, so I settled for a 96 on this. All other minigames I got at least a 97 on.
I have the option of using buttons or touch screen. I usually use buttons, and only allow myself to use the touch screen if the tap inputs don't simplify the game more than the buttons (i.e. if there's more than one type of input like A and B, the touch screen counts as both so I don't use it).
This game offers toggling english or japanese audio. I use whatever I prefer for each minigame, or in the case of remixes, whatever allows for showing off both languages in this video if I don't have a strong preference. Though, people would have to be silly to prefer Lush/Machine Remix on English since Japanese has vocals, English doesn't lol...
I highly recommend listening with headphones for the awesome bass line in all the songs!

Q 1: My homeboys space soccer and crop stomp didn't make it in, sadly. I started with RHDS, ad I played th shit out of the two minigames.
Q2: If I could make a set with any game from the series, it would be Marchers (made more difficult with shorter queues for the face turns), Crop Stomp, Flock Step, and Sumology (If it wasn't obvious, my favorite type of rhythm minigame are the "press A a lot" type).

I prefer Japanese cues. They just sound more natural in a Japanese game, as well as nostalgia for games like space dance
@@creative_commander4973 Depends on the game. Assuming you speak English, Cheer Readers and Ringside are better in English. Cheer Readers is funny but a bit of a mess with the Engrish they speak in the Japanese version. Meanwhile, stuff like Space Dance sounds weird in English. Then some just work either way, like Karate Man.
Then there's marching orders 2 from tengoku. I guess if it were in Megamix the higher audio quality would make it easier for someone that doesn't understand much japanese to remember the cues without just memorizing them, but it would be much simpler in english.

Wow this version of the DS games are WAY forgiving the Glee club instructor giving you a visual hint as to when to shut up and the karate man having a "hit 3!" cue...back in my day...you just had to react faster.

I thought the same thing, but then I recently let a friend who had never played the series before barely get passed on the beginning the levels. The start is perfectly suited for beginners to rhythm heaven, or rhythm as it is
Rhythm Heaven Megamix was my first Rhythm Heaven game. So one day I was with a friend. I was into Rhythm Heaven so I wanted to see if he’d like it, and apparently it was too hard, but I easily got into the game. Guess rhythm skill varies between people.

This game should honestly be ported to switch, this would work well on it.
Plus, the switch has a touchscreen in it’s handheld mode, so you could have the tap games on it as well.
