  • There is a popular believe that, you can’t say both helicopter and cheap in the same sentence, because generally, helicopters are perceived to be outrageously expensive to own and operate, even airlines can’t efficiently operate helicopters without subsides. A lot of people have dreams of owning and flying their own helicopters around, but the logistics is a complete nightmare, so we made a list of helicopters that will only cost as much as an SUV.
NOTE, some of the prices are for used models, for ones I didn't see used models on the market, I wrote the MSRP, and ones I didn't see prices from trusted sources, I didn't write the price at all.

Hi, prices are in description 😊😊
    Thanks...
I took out so many things because I wanted the video to be as short as possible as it was initially too long.

The problem with most "cheap" helicopters is that their airframe has a limited number of hours, and then those hours are reached, the aircraft is no longer flight worthy and must be scrapped.

Great list, Thanks! I discovered some new ones. I also like the 4 seat. Hummingbird 260L, the world’s first FAA certified helicopter to be sold in kit form. With automotive engine options. =)

If you value your life, NEVER cheap out on a aircraft, particularly a helicopter. Speaking as a rotor pilot for 25 years(15 of which in EMT).

Hello Sir I want to buy a 3rd hand helicopter after 10 years, will there be reliable and cheap helicopters after 10 years

@@rockstarprashantpanth1545 when buying a used helicopter, I’d pay an experienced helicopter maintenance engineer(with an endorsement on said type) or even a director of maintenance to come with you to go over the logbooks, AD’s and history, before a thorough visual inspection? it’s not necessarily the years, but the mileage you have to consider. Best of luck!

@@crazyralph6386 oh thanks a lot Sir but I have more question because u r a experienced pilot, so my question is do u think in after 10 15 years Helicopter technologies will develop and helicopter will be affordable with good mileage and less maintenance?

As a helicopter pilot for 31 years and airplane owner for 12 years, I can honestly say there’s no such thing as a cheap aircraft. You WILL pay one way or another.

In the Mosquito Air XE section at about 6:05 .. "Engine Taco Meter" .. need to check the audio scripts .. that's generally an "engine tachometer"

The price shown for the Hungaro is only the cost of the main gearbox and main rotor shaft. A full helicopter is several times that amount.

Buy the "cheapest" aircraft you can find. It leaves more inheritance and your heirs will love you for it. The ones you don't take with you, at least.

In some things, like condoms, sushi, brain surgeons and helicopters, "cheapest" probably isn't the right way to go.

The Brantly 305's (time 4:14) were produced between 1964-1966, not the 1970s. 47 units were manufactured before production was terminated. There is currently one airworthy 305 in the world, it's in Monrovia, Indiana. The one in your video was Serial Number 1014, making it the 15th ship produced.

They soon find out they are easy to bury

Yeah sure, have a kid with no aeronautical knowledge whatsoever get into a killing machine and fly overhead.
But god forbid you want to have some fun in the park with your kid and a foamy model or cheap plastic drone...
NOOOO they have to be at least 14 years of age and complete a pretty hefty course to do it... SUUuuuuuurrreeeee! ;D
