    Willie Mays made playing outfield look easy, too! Getting the grind right on a dagger is certainly the most difficult thing I've tried on my grinder, and you make it look easy. Thanks for the lesson!

    Great editing and lighting, like no other. Thanks for passing on your knowledge Walter. You are the, exemplary knife-making master-teacher on UA-cam. All levels of expertise of knife making have, and do, learn from your techniques sir. You're an icon to all of us. Keep up the good work. Just my thoughts from Tucson.

    That's a really good idea to drill your holes first. You rarely see that. You have your process down, that's forsure.

    I made a jig after I saw your video on making one and it worked great! For a while. When I was new to grinding the jig was great at getting clean lines but if I was making a knife that had curves or a odd shape the jig just didn't work and I had become to dependent on it. So in the end, you have to learn to free hand grind because you can be building jigs for every knife you make! Great video as always!!!

    Loved the Video and your Attention to ALL the Details a Knife like that requires to fit and not get HOT Spots in the Hand and I Agree with YOU that the Handle should be a little Bigger! I found your websites and I did not see the Dagger Boot knife there can you make a Boot Knife but more along the Size of the Operator with a 4.5 -5 inch Blade with a Cutting area that is 3/4 less than the Length of the Blade and make the handle 5 inches long. I have been looking for a GOOD EDC Fixed Blade like that but I have not found one I have heard that RMJ Tactical makes one but they are VERY hard to get they are Always out of stock!

    • @spike4972
      @spike4972 3 роки тому

      If you do it right and the end user takes care of it, you realistically shouldn’t need the type of deep restoration that would require removing handles. And if you do, epoxy isn’t impossible to remove. A pain in the butt for sure, but not impossible.
