The gas was chlorine gas further enhanced chemically to speed up decay. In The Walking Dead the world beyond they explain how the CRM had scientists developing WMD and how they used it to destroy 100K populations colonies since they were becoming a resource drain for the CRM

I absolutely loved the ending, I wish they would show them reunited with their friends from the Original Walking Dead. I wish that show would return.

The thing that is bordering me in this series is that Rick looks more like a side character than a main protagonist. I really think he has less screen time than Michonne, and man... we waited like 6 years to see him again, i hopped the show would really focused in him.
That's a pretty fair argument. I've seen a few people feel that way as well.
I do agree but I personally liked that he is not the main focus here. In my opinion they kept their main focus on CRM and to show how big and scary this community is. Its scary. That they can lose their home just by CRM finding the truth. They have done an amazing job developing this new scary community. And if you want to feel satisfied there's gotta be a great threat. Which CRM is. But still m not as scared of CRM as I was when I saw Negan's entry in S06E16. That entry scared me to death. But they have done good job with keeping the focus on CRM to show that winning against those is definitely not gonna ne easy at all. You are gonna need Rick, Micchone, Negan, Maggie, Carol, Daryl and all of em to win against such a big community. Anyway, this is just my personal POV.

I do not know what you saw. The show started with Rick. Mainly focest on Rick and in the end closed Rick with getting what he wanted in the very first episode, of the main story,him with his family. To me twd is Rick's story the main part of his story has always been his life in the apocalypse and his desire to save his family and becoming a leader and building a new family. Twd is not twd without him I believe that being a watcher from the beginning. I barely watched after he left even with machone in it and when she left I was All the way gone but I believe this show forfield that. Mechone is the love of his life that is a part of his story a very important part . Probably the most important part in the end since he lost his oregenal family and mechone is the woman he loved the most in his life the women he deserved.

It felt a little rushed with some cheese writing in the end. For me the best writing that felt the most real was the one deni wrote but it was still ok . I just wish I would have seen Rick climb up the crm and take over.That would have been better than him just coming home but him coming with the crm chopper makes me feel like he still could take over and be there with his family. Idk
