My 1 year old Luxman is at the "starter" end of their integrated amplifiers. I'm still smitten with it, and it's internal phono amp is outstanding. Congratulations on your new amp, it's an incredible piece!
I have the L509x and love it. My speakers are rated at 88 db sensitivity. I did hear the 590 and it did well, but I, like you, got a demo unit. The sound is now the best I have had in my system.
Congrats on the new amp, it's always cool to get both a quality piece of gear you wanted, but also something that is a collectable special edition like this. As much as I do love the modern McIntosh solid state integrateds (unlike some other audiophiles), I feel like the Luxman with its lower power pure class A design is definitely a better fit for your high sensitivity Zu speakers. PS: I've found most amps really change within the first 100 hours of use, some more, some less, but I always give it 100 hours before I do any real critical listening.
Yes. This was a demo unit and probably was broken in, however, I feel it has opened up even more after playing it quite a bit. It could be my ears adjusting.
@@archifi9978 you made the right decision. Enjoy your new toy and your fantastic future Dac :-) I'm looking for new speakers for my new plaything, let the quest begin. Greetings. Tvha

Good for you brother. I have the Luxman p-750u headphone amplifier and it just OOZES quality craftsmanship. Not to mention it sounds amazing. Fate was kind to you regarding the sold Macintosh. I wouldn’t have had the patience to make a video before I hooked up the Luxman.
Congrats 🎈 Luxeman is very very nice 😊 Fir a second I thought because the McIntosh fell through you are going to go with a Jadis 😘 integrated amp. Nice choice tho. Cheers 🥂
Hi sir. It looks the part so I’m sure it will be amazing , I have seen a similar unit but it has the UV meters . But I think yours looks better without to be honest . I think the Macintosh you were considering had them as well , but to me there a bit unnecessary . Enjoy your new amp. Best wishes and kind regards as always 😀👍👍👍
@@marcinwasilewski5414 I did hear topping, that's why i say Luxman is better. I did chose Gryphon amplifier over the luxman though. Topping is very good for the price, but topping can't compete with Gryphon or Luxman at all.
For sound quality yamaha is the bottom of the audiophile pile of amplifiers. You should have gone and listened to some ATC SCM ASL loudspeakers, because they sound better than any passive system you can put together.
I have never heard any high end Yamaha componants. Just their mid-fi and A/V receivers which sound wonderful for the price points. Besides an old Audiosource amp for our kitchen ceiling speakers, I purchased a $129 Yamaha am/FM receiver for our outdoor deck speakers (Polk Atriums). The systems sound fantastic using Airplay to stream Roon, Qobuz, etc.

Enjoy the Luxman and welcome to the family. I have the 590axii and its with me for the long haul.
Thanks. The 595 is basically a 590axii. I would have purchased the 590 if it would have popped up first
I hooked up the 590 AX II to Wilson Audio Sabrina 3's.. incredible! It blew Pass Labs separates away!
That's a great combo. How efficient are the Wilsons?
@@daleclark4160 they are 87db! I cant believe it and my friend is confused. Hes thinking now of selling the XA100.5s and XP30 for the Luxman🤷🏼♂️
Sophia 3? Sabrina X?
What is Sabrina 3?
Why no Sudgen A21 SE Signature ? but Luxman and Accuphase are also bulletproofed
I looked at the Sudgen however I wanted Balanced-XLR input for a future Dac and a built in phono

Hi, Fantastic choice, I love Luxman . It has yet to be reviewed here in the UK , probably because of the limited availability
I'm guessing the unit sounds close to the 590axii....just guessing
Congrats and good choice!
Thank you
Excellent Brand, we have a Preamp of them
I had a Luxman L-480 back in the day. I loved it.
IMO, Luxman can be a lifetime purchase. The quality is that good

can one turn on two 4 ohms speaker at the same time with this amp?

Cool. Looks amazing!
I do wish it had meters...I'm a sucker for meters
@@archifi9978 meters can be distracting... This amp is not about that, it oozes quality
My first true hifi amp was a Sugden a48 mk2, but my all time favourite was my Luxman L85v.
Sudgen was a consideration as well.
Congrats. Maybe do a first impressions video and then do one once it is broken in.

Vintage H.K.'s are fantastic sounding. I heard an old Citation amp once and it was smooth as silk.
