Do you think fish be able to pop a hole in it with their fins if they’re big enough? The ends of fins can be like needles.

I see a *ton* of potential here-- I really think you could do something pretty unique to UA-cam.
I see a lot of pool ponds, but the artificial blue aesthetic was always a bit of a bother to me. What if you took a pond liner, or even a black tarp, and overlayed that over the inside of the aquarium. This could be especially worth considering because if it was from Wish, there's a bit of reason to worry if it could maybe leak something a little harmful into the tank over time, (although that's obviously baseless speculation just based on the rampant lack of quality control)
That way for relatively cheap you could add some sand to the bottom, (maybe only thick in some parts to save money), throw in some DIY osmocote tabs in the deep parts, and you could have like some Dwarf Aquarium Lilys, or whatever plants stuff and actually make it a _Planted Pool Pond._
But, if you ,really* wanted to do something you don't really see, it'd be really interesting to see could encase the outside of the pool to improve the aesthetics, since your basement will basically be a Fish Cove now. You could buy just those blocks of foam, paint them, and then cut them to resemble some sort of artificial rock structure around the outside. If you cut little notches you could add patches of land moss, and little plants to the outside to make it look that much more natural.
To make it functional, the foam "rocks" would serve as a platform for pothos, and you could literally drill just a little hole to subtly feed a root to the water. You can use sewing "t-pins" to guide the pothos growth, and if you start that in a couple different places around the tank so that it's sort of surrounded it'd probably be enough pothos to _significantly_ reduce your nitrate levels, whilst serving to blend the transition from fake rocks to water, to make it look all the more natural.

You could also just make a quick 2x4 / plywood frame and make fake rocks like with that 3 parts perlite, 3 parts peat moss and 2 parts Portland cement mixture or whatever. This could be especially cool because you could make it widen at the base and make it kind of an garden. You could put little spots in the cement where there's space for soil and stuff, so you could have pothos alive and sucking nitrates, and then mosses and whatever other plants growing among the fake rocks. You could even do something creative like getting a big driftwood that comes up about the water and if something like Creeping Jane or Hydrocotyle Japan gets above water it'll start sucking nitrates more, and it'd be cool if they grew up the driftwood and then started growing down the rocks and started to really blend the living aquarium / aquatic plants with the plants on the artificial rocks.

There is something to consider when you use pool for a aquarium and this is the material or the plastic liner. Is it safe for fish? Is it going to release toxic plasticizers in the warm water. What will happen to the ph of the water. How long it will last before it floods the house. IS it worth taking the chance on the house and on the fish using a mystery ingredients made in China were quality control is almost not existing and they will print you a label with what ever you ask for. This is something to consider. IF I was going to do it I would buy a large glass or acrylic tank that is fish safe and house safe. I guarantee you that if you install an outdoor pool inside your house your house insurance company wont be very happy about it and if you get flooded they might decline your claim. This something to consider. I really like your channel please don't do this to yourself.
