I'm a Mopar guy, and today it's two Mopars in a row; love it! This is a beautiful car, very clean machine. It's not a cruiser though; with a 383 and a big cam like that, it should be melting the tires at every stoplight. But it's minor---the carb needs going through, and the timing is probably off. This is a car I'd love to own
My stock 383 used to blow off the tires from a stop and even 20 mph roll in my 383 cars I bought that were bone stock..I always looked for original cars, much easier in the 80's to do so...My current 383 is now a 496 stroker but when stock it boiled the tires on take off with 3.23's..70 Charger 500 original 383 Magnum rebuilt on a stand running a 1971 383 2bbl from a rolled over wagon, now a 496 stroker.
Half if not more of the time a big lumpy cam the car is slower than stock...They mis-match parts and ruin the car, they sound wicked though...Nearly 500 Mopar big block cars owned/restored since the 80's..Min 500 if not more..
This 68 Runner is in very good shape for being 56 yr's of age, for the neoprene connecters to the gas tank where not connected properly and that is why the in flow of the tank leaks, easy to take care of. For the fan induction system is easy to find off the radiator as well. Real nice Runner and lot to be had here. Very nice Road Runner for sure.
Awesome though 2.9k was a fair Wack back then . 72 year old Australain . Though i think our muscle cars down here were even more . PS i missed out on National Service Call Up by one day . ...the last Conscription before it was abolished 🪃🪃🪃🪃
I have a ‘68 Satellite. I was going to make it a road runner. But I got the GTX parts off a Sport Satellite… so now I’ll make it a GTX. I have a 440 4 speed for it. 😀
45 grand ain't what it used to be. You can thank all the wasteful spending for the past 80 years. You should convert all your cash to muscle cars before it's worthless.
I understand the price frustration….. but try to build any car as nice as this one is and you will have 40k plus in it most likely. And that’s if you do a decent restoration. Not only is it crazy expensive to build a car of any choice……it’s even harder to find anyone to build the car in a timely manner. So as somebody that has been waiting on a restoration of a 69 Nova that was supposed to be finished July of 2023….. it’s definitely easier to pay 44k for something that is finished and be happy than to spent 40k or more and be miserable with waiting and getting nothing but excuses.
I've been in the market for a B body for well over a year so pretty much am aware of what's out there and it's value. While this one has a lot going for it, there are some pretty serious issues that really don't speak too well to the price. Underpowered for sure. Likely carb/timing but who knows as the build sheet didn't appear to show much engine-wise. The trans shifting like that is a worry, but perhaps the rear end gearing is wrong. Given that it has aftermarket "restomod" wheels that don't fit the character of the rest of the car, I'd put this at the mid to low 30's max. You can pick up a nice Coronet 440 RT, completely stock, for less than this. Kind of surprised as Nick's prices are usually well below market average.
I cannot stand the negative peanut gallery with any comments about cars being overpriced. What a lame move…. Listen up, any items value is determined by what someone is willing to pay for it!!! Maple Motors doesn’t need the keyboard warriors seal of approval, they’re moving 10-15 cars a day! I saw a 1970 GTO with Judge stickers that someone commented about being overpriced. I would’ve bought that car at that price with no interior and on jack stands. Stop going through life adding to what’s wrong with this world. Be awesome brothers, no one likes a negative Nancy. Shoutout to Nick, I love your videos and hope a trip to Maple Motors will happen for me someday. Keep killing it brother
I remember when these were new. I never was a Mopar guy because Chevy, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Ford were stiff competition. The Roadrunner, Cuda and Challenger were hot though.
So happy my papa let my buy his 69 gtx for $35,000. All original numbers matching 4 speed car. Dana 60 rear end, never been repainted. Not a hemi car, she has her original standard 440 super commando which is plenty of power for me plus that four barrel is thirsty enough when I put my foot down. But $40,000 for a base road runner with a 383 is crazy and it has the one option I hate, it’s an automatic. Not to mention I love rolling my back windows down in the gtx and having that b pillar missing. It’s such a classic nostalgic feeling to me and this b-body being a rear push window would be a no deal by itself. Plus I always wanted a 440 or hemi car that was a 4 speed.
This will sell quickly. This is my favorite color for one of my favorite cars. It really needs a set of 15x8 Cragar SS and 215/75/15 and 255/70/15 BFG radial TA and the drop blocks removed and the tortion bars cranked up. But its not my hotrod. That oil pan has been bumped a bit, not crushed.
It looks and sounds spectacular. but like a lot of the comments. The leaking gas tank is a disaster waiting to happen and needs to be addressed. disregard lol I typed it before you mentioned it and said it would be fixed.
Wife bought one new of the showroom she blew the motor racing the thing probably had it for a week took it back they gave her even a better one that was custom built for a customer that didn't pick the car up
Fair price these days. Curious on a ball park estimate on delivery to North Idaho? I’ve seen a couple nice vehicles I’ve been interested in. Thank you for these videos. I never get tired of hearing these machines
WOW!! What a nice ride! A REAL DEAL '68 Roadrunner!! I'm usually a Chevy/Buick/Pontiac guy, but I would definitely CROSS THE AISLE and GO MOPAR with this one!!
For $5,000 get a Falcon 163 hp or a sprint that runs reasonably well and you have a sale. Any other falcon type is acceptable and we can discuss it. Thank you
People whining about prices are not living in reality. This is an excellent driver condition car. Yes it needs a little work but it's far from a project car and would do fine at cruise nights and local car shows. Fix the little stuff while driving a head turning classic. Mopar or no car. Nah, not really.
For anyone that thinks 44k is high try doing a complete restoration on one! I have 85K so far and still not finished!! Wish I had bought one for 50k now!😮
Well since they are not making them any more the prices will not ever be going down. Looks like a solid ride with not much body work . I could see myself draining the bank account for this ride.
It's a base Road Runner that has had carpet added. It needs a Sun super tach or a comparable looking tach and a set of 2 5/8 old school sun gauges for the period correct look.
That car definatly aint right. I had a 69' 383 RR in the mid 70s to mid late 80s. When you stomp it it would snap and pull you back in the seat. That car didn't even go when he manually downshifted to 1st. I had the same gearing in mine but would burn rubber for 10' from a standing start with wide G-60x14" tires on mine. That car don't wanna go. I bet its a transplant 383 non Roadrunner engine. I remember I looked at a 383 non performance grocery getter 69' Dodge Charger, performance was like night and day to my RR. The RR engine ran the 440 heads and and higher lift cam.
So if you wanna play you gotta pay if you want to drive a kickass car and say f it were not all rich let’s face it you can’t take it with you and we’re not getting younger this is it
VERY ATTRACTIVE BLACK BEAUTY AS FAR AS THE PRICE THAT A HORSE OF A DIFFERENT COLOR FOR SURE NOT WORTHY OF THE PRICE POSTED ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE'S DRUM BRAKE'S ALL THE WAY AROUND SORRY WOULDN'T TOUCH IT WITH A TEN FT. POLE I'M REALLY SURPRISE AT MAPLE 🍁 MOTORS

So many things not worth the money here but hey, if you can get 45K for it more power to ya
Nice ride but it looks like gas tank leaking when you got fuel please check

I paid $2,900 for my new ‘68 Roadrunner 383/4 spd. When? June 21, 1968. Vietnam Vet.
God Bless America.. Thank You For Your Service Sir 🙏🏻🫡 🇺🇸
$2,900= $26,240 today. And this roadrunner here is double that.
Great memory, thanks for sharing.

45 grand for a stripped road runner with a leaky gas tank... Incredible
New tank was installed when we got back , but yes and we are below the national average. Guaranteed sale on this one
its worth more tbh
45 grand ain't what it used to be. You can thank all the wasteful spending for the past 80 years. You should convert all your cash to muscle cars before it's worthless.
The Road Runner was built as a strip down model you fool. Unlike most sells people, they tell you the flaws. So learn something, and hush up.
Day light robbery $45k 🤷🏽♂️
44 grand. Unbelievable for a stripped roadrunner with pop out back window no options. These B bodies are way over priced. Nice car nevertheless
Yeah, I agree even though the old muscle cars are nice, it leaves out some of the guys that can’t afford the inflated prices!
And the kicker is, 44 grand is actually a great deal! That's how Mopars are pr8ced now!
Go by a new charger or challenger srt for $65,000 to $85,000 plus mark up
I'll stick to my Cbodies. Love the challengers, chargers and road runners. Can't afford them

Why is the oil pan all smashed ? 44 grand that car should absoulutly mint.period
Oil pan & k member are all smashed ? ! 44grand
I mean I can show you some mint ones but they are about 80gs
@@tonydjr.8593I would not call it all smashed few dings yes.

At 45k there shouldn’t be anything missing or falling out 🫢
I owned a 68 or 69 RR for 30 years and the damn electrical was always hit or miss. I assume these days you can get aftermarket gauges.
Beautful car.

That was the perfect song for this beauty of car. I was back in 1968 for a split second.

Had a "Christine" moment there when you turned on the radio Nick😅
Sounds like it needs a new differential and new seals. Some gauge work.
Car is an easy fix.
Meat and potatoes hot rod!
I love it.
This is one handsome beast.

Mopar or no car. Nah, not really.
It's in the front of the tank by the rear end
Gracias por sacarme a dar una vuelta 😊
All 68 roadrunners were Big Blocks
For anyone that thinks 44k is high try doing a complete restoration on one! I have 85K so far and still not finished!! Wish I had bought one for 50k now!😮
Great sounding Mopar!! 🤜🤛
Sound of original Flow Master.
Great sounds, no h or x pipe. The only way it would sound better is with some 18" Cherry Bombs.
Thanks 👍
I love the plymouth roadrunner
Has the fuel leak been identified and fixed?
Needs a new tank.
But, will it be fixed before it’s sold?
Yes brand new tank already installed
I’ve had boats smaller than this beauty of a land yacht.
The tank is probably leaking from the sending unit on top and that’s why your gas gauge isn’t working as well. nice car though !
Brand new tank installed today
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate that will do it 😊

It's a base Road Runner that has had carpet added. It needs a Sun super tach or a comparable looking tach and a set of 2 5/8 old school sun gauges for the period correct look.
Damm good sounding roadrunner
Nothing like gurgling sound of the 383's.
I miss the old Maple Motors 😥
Beautiful RR, a 4spd would've made this beast so much more worth it. Looks like the gas tank is leaking Nick.
So many like this. Its the little details they just don't fix and who knows what else. Get it to your bud and on a lift asap.
He’s a good salesman. Tries to show a lot of flaws. Very clean car
Thank you

Massive fuel leak. 🔥
American muscle at it's best
Those cars were made to run on leaded 101+ Octane fuel.
Oh no knock the $900 off tac not working lol
Gas tank leaking bro...
Yes new one already installed
Nick, absolutely beautiful car!! And, its priced to sell! That's a GREAT deal.
It sure is! Thanks
Nice Job Nick Kool Shot U Hitting Camera On Undercarriage Going Forward Since This Is B-Body Road Runner Does Horn Go " Beep Beep Beep Beep"
Gas leaks. 😮
Brand new tank installed today
Sweet ride
the interior on all these late 60's and early 70's muscle cars do nothing for me. late 50's and early 60's had the coolest interiors.
Beautiful Green
44k is crazy, at that price that car should be MINT condition absolutely nothing should be wrong with it not even a small dent or scratch
It sold for 44k
Nice car
Looks like there's a gas leak at the tank. Gives another reason to fix the sending unit.
Factory rated for 335 HP.
😍
Hopefully the rest of the car won’t fall apart, like the ash tray 🤦🏽♂️

440 cubes of American Muscle!
440 ?
really nice but for me ditch the rims Im old school and these rides should have orig rims unless its a restomod...
Nice body and paint interior nice gas leak dangerous no speedo or gas gauge seems a little slow for a roadrunner
Thank God it's a column shift 😂😂😂😂😂
Now this is what I'm talking about
What no backup camera.
Ayyy I seen them on amazon tho lol
It would be worth 44,000 if it were the 440 magnum or six pack.
Personally I think you guys need to work on your intro songs! Although good ,they just need a little work! I enjoy your videos though!👍🏻👍🏻
Nice
Thanks
is the price negotiable
