- Lt. Nathaniel "Nate" Fick: Most people in America right now probably think of Iraq as a dangerous country. Now, if I was to stand up I might get killed. But to us, behind this wheel, it's pretty safe. So, to us, Iraq is a safe country, right here. I feel pretty safe, do you feel safe?
Evan "Scribe" Wright: Pretty safe, I guess
Lt. Nathaniel "Nate" Fick: See, it's all relative - Ігри
Nate teaches the theory of relativity
I like how the next thing Nate does is stand up and move out from behind the truck. Never noticed that before.
Nate Fick is the man
since Nate gets up and runs does that mean Iraq is no longer a safe country?
Only for the other side
"I'll take 'Scenes I think about every 2 weeks' for $100"
This was a great miniseries that seemed to not get a lot of attention when it came out.
Well pacific was great it also shows a side of history not frequently covered but watching this with a marine who was actually there makes it a completely different experience cause he can tell me stuff that i usually wouldnt bat an eye at
@@akshaynatu1084 The Pacific came out 2 years after GK, but I agree that the latter being less accessible than either GK or Band of Brothers is the primary reason it doesn’t have as large a following as the the other shows
@@akshaynatu1084 None of the three are war-plot driven, but the Pacific is definitely closer to GK in terms of being character-focused than BoB is.
I, being in the Marines from 1996-2000 have read the book and then the miniseries. This production accurately depicts the mindset of most modern Marines. While the open outright and blatant disrespect for Commissioned Officers didn’t exist. This was a skewed observation or Hollywood doing their thing. I watched this with my wife-to-be and bursted out in snickers and laughter at the things that were dead-square on the money. I know that there were many more things that probably got edited out due to it being wartime, for various reasons but the spirit was the closes that I have seen in a video production. Semper Fi!
Pretty legit logic.
No it is not at all, there's still a fuck of a lot that could reach out and kill them
@@ak4344 and worrying about all of that will turn you into a vegetable.
Its much more practical and pragmatic to worry about the most obvious and present danger/s and take remedial action.
In this instance.
Sniper fire from buildings a couple klicks away and hiding behind an engine block and wheel.
And then he stands up.
Nate could be a great teacher.
That's how you build morale without insuniating the other guy of being scared
solid officer, solid man ;
Me talking to an out of town friend when we're in a corner booth, at the Waffle House at 3am and stuff pops off between a customer and a grill operator...
Them "Is this safe"
Me "Just eat your hash browns and keep your head down, don't look anyone in the eye, it's prolly fine... If it get's REAL I got $40 in cash to throw on the table before be haul ass, because even if someone gets shot we don't stiff Miss Debbie.... Are you gonna eat your bacon?"
i always was confused about his last name because Fick is fuck in german, so certain dialog were his name appeared in the german synchronised version of generation kill are very confusing
I fucking love that music for some reason
Adhan or athan that is the name of the song
Not a music. It's call to prayer
@@safeamer1313 i mean, he's singing the call, so...
Dangerous thing to say.
I have the impression that this channel may have a negative opinion on Nazis.
I have the impression that you’re a proud member of LGBTQ
