I had the same thought! There was so many false summits on the way up. Even as you get up to the final few pitches a HUGE headwall comes into view, and it seems like your still hours from the top. Luckily this is where the route starts to traverse right and you end on a ramp a few hundred feet below this massive headwall.
Great climbing and a great video Chris! You and Codey took one task at a time and made it work. Way to go guys, looking forward to talking more about it when I see you.
Thanks John, it was a great feeling getting to the top of this climb. It took everything we had to complete it, including a few different problem solving scenarios.
Thanks for always checking out my content dude. I would love to have you come out with me for a day of climbing sometime, obviously on a much smaller and easier wall than this lol.
We were the only party on the route all day! It was such a nice day out too, we were surprised nobody came up behind us. If there was a party coming up behind us at a much faster pace, we would have let them pass us.
@@ChrisGranata i saw a picture on facebook the other day of like 8 people trying to share a belay at the base of the chimney, it seemed crazy for all those parties to go up at once. experiencing that route alone is a treat most folks will never get.
Sick footy! I enjoyed reminiscing on those chimney pitches. I did Epi in mid May with a good friend a couple years ago, 11.5hr car to car. Had the whole route to ourselves :)
Every time you looked up I thought you were close to the top only for there to be more mountains. Sick climb

Great coverage of yours and Cody's climb on Epi! That's a cute furbaby! 🐈
Thanks Lovena, this climb was amazing. The little fur baby is Indy, she a great lap cat and edits almost all of my videos with me.
You two crushed it, that was so awesome. Very cool getting some extra details in the beginning and end there.
Thanks dude. This may be the greatest climbing achievement I ever take part in, it's gonna be hard to top this one.
Awesome climbing! Love your video and the cat cameo is added bonus.
Lol. Thanks dude. That's my lap cat, she edits almost every video with me.
Such a great watch from end-to-end.Nice job on the edit and an amazing climb

Cody's a beast leading all those offwidth pitches. Well done boys.
Codey CRUSHED this entire climb. We would have been on the wall several hours longer if i had gotten on the sharp end of this.
I absolutely love the views!
The views were incredible. Watching the sunrise was the best part. The sun made the rock super colorful.
Ayyy I've done a 24 hour car-to-car :) 3 man team in July and we ran out of water at the top of the Black Tower lol.
WOW, there's so much climbing left after the tower too, and then the decent too is pretty lengthy.
that might be a record without having to be rescued, how many people ended up stuck behind you guys?

Thanks dude, so happy to have had the opportunity to tick this off.

We had the route to ourselves this day too. It was a perfect day to be up there.
full commit 💪
Got that right!
Epiiiic!!!
Absolutely! This was by far the most epic climb I've ever been on.
Keep it going mane 👏👏
Thanks Billy. Did a few others climbs out in this area too, mostly 600 to 800 footers, so there will be a couple more videos coming.
@@ChrisGranata god damn haha good shittt
