      @@nuggetella minimum wage is 15$ an hour .. this is Prime beef so it’s way more. You can get choice rib roast during holidays on sale for 7-9$ a pound .. thers 7 ribs on the roast do they ate about 140$ for or all 7 ribs.. regular price is 12-14$ a lb for choice rib roast when not on sale. ..

      Prices are increasing here too, beef prices right across the board have atleast doubled in the past 2 years...
      Wages haven't varied much, the cost of living soaring will further increase crime as desperate people are prone to commit desperate deeds...

      @@nuggetella it’s gonna get worse before it gets better.. the globalist want a one world government and a universal wage where everyone gets the same .. eventually they want protein to be bugs .. so meat prices might not matter if they get their way. .. I just saw today that as of the new year minimum wages in California is now $15.50 .. taxes will probably increase as well… stay positive..

    You don't have to spend $200..., you can get USDA prime for about $120. Meantime, I'm really happy to see that you use fire, It heats better than electric and is more continuous. And I'm absolutely going to use this recipe. Nice work and thank you!! ☺️😘

    There are few things so beautiful as a roast with that large a cross section having been slow roasted. The doneness across the cross section is the same. Beautiful.

      More like about 15 cloves.. the flavor is in all that garlic! a little rosemary and beef consomme made into au jus and you're all set!!

    Tip: roast for 300°, BUT NOT LOWER THAN 275 for a totsl of not more than 4-5 hours.
    Result: more juiciness.

    Salt and let reach room temp for 1 hr, coat in garlic/rosemary/olive oil/pepper mix, 450 degree oven for 20 min for crust, then 325 degrees 10 to 12 min per lb, until 120 degrees internally, remove, tent with foil, rest 30 minutes

    Try 165 for 12 hours. Dip it in heated au jus to finish it to the temp you want for individual servings.

    I do it like that except I salt it the night before. Overnight the meat absorbs the salt. Take it out an hour before and pat it dry them do the rest just like in the video and it's perfect.

    I love seeing that cast iron. So cast iron wont overcook it as it's resting, right? I'm planning on pulling it out and tenting on the cast iron.

    Mmmm, I get a smallish prime rib select cut every year and can only eat a couple of bites of it. BUT, the leftovers make the best beef pot pie 🥧 you've ever tasted 😋

    Do American ovens actually have a built-in thermostat standard, or is that some super luxury oven? In Europe, I've seen a built-in thermometer, but never an actual thermostat.

      Yes, the ovens have a thermostat which allows the cook to pre-set the desired temperature while mixing the food which would be cooked in it.

    Put that on broil on high for 20 min then let sit in oven for hour and a half .and it's a perfect medium

    I just season with garlic salt. Sear for 20 minutes at 450 and then turn heat down as low as it will go. Take out when internal temp is 115-120 degrees and let rest for 30 minutes. I don’t “French” it because that is the tastiest part.

    Butter herb coating. Set oven to 500. Then set cook time to 5x# + 2hrs. 4lb roast x 5 min = 20 min at 500 then sit in oven for 2 hrs after.

    My favorite cut is the end cut so when making a reservation to a high In restaurant I request the end cut because there are only two and I want one saved for me. Some restaurants will reserve that cut for you some will not

      Genuinely you can get a good thermometer for $20 it just has a wire that can handle the temperatures to an external box where you can input what temperature you want it to beep at

    If you spent $200 on a rib roast, you already messed up. And thank Biden for that and the $4 we just spent for a dozen, off brand eggs.
    That said, don't French your ribs. Instead, get more milage from your money and separate the roast from the ribs, then bind back together and roast (bone in just protects that area of the meat from the heat, you can wrap the bones in foil [as experiment only] and the meat tastes just the same as in direct contact with bones) and enjoy your roast then, as a separate treat, season/sauce and grill up the rib rack for terrific, fast cooking beef ribs. Delicious. Frenching just loses the meat on the bones.
