I really like the emphasis on that sonic boom when you reach a certain speed, wish future sonic games will put more emphasis into it
would be cool if you damaged enemies/some objects around you when you did like a shockwave.
I could see some really interesting encounter designs where the goal is to get enough speed to sonic bomb next to an enemy/boss who is normally immune to your basic attacks.
I like how the enemies were fast enough to catch up to him

Day 1 asking: Why do Sonic Fans always create the most cool looking emaculate vibes fan games with tight gameplay on fucking Dreams or Roblox instead of using an actual real cross-plataform game engine where they wouldn't have any limitations?

Because it's really easy to make games in Dreams and you don't need to spend lightyears learning how to code to do it. Are you just saying this because you don't have Dreams?
@@3st1nky Godot's GDScript and Unreal Engine's Blueprints are just as easy. And I would argue that creating something complex like this in dreams IS HARDER than in an engine, since you got to work around a bunch of limitations. It was designed for very simple and rudimentary games, this ain't it.
Learning to code is not that hard, it is a life skill and makes creting games way easier than it is in dreams, once you learn.
Also, light-years are a measure of distance and not time.
Cross platform and ease of use?
Sonic's movement reminds me of Sonic Advance 2. He is doing some of the special moves like the air-swipe. This sonic seems fitting for his age(15).

The fact that you can do pretty much anything in Dreams is astounding. This looks fire.
This is some some of the best Sonic gameplay I've seen since Unleashed day time levels.
This person is already so talented! They should make a full length original game outside of dreams. I mean look at Lake Fepard with Spark the Electric Jester, he ate the fuck outta that. The game is so fun and gives me hella SA2 vibes, BUT DARE I SAY EVEN BETTER.

I want so much for a sonic game with actual simulated physics so that YOU can do tricks to get momentum and speed instead of it just being a few preset “action speeds”.
Like how in a lot of good platformers its all about mantaining your momentum with YOUR movement tech and interacting with the enviornment.
The 3D Sonic CD reimagining I didn't know I wanted (I thought I wanted a 3D reimagining of Sonic 3&K)
This is a lot like what I would want from a future sonic game, a Cartoon art style and fre style game play on a linear level where it's alla about going fast.

This is a cool idea. It still has strong vibes of a rough draft and gives Sonic that jumping off of rocks ability that reminds me of the Sonic CD opening. Although it seems like you could very easily bypass and ignore enemies defeating the purpose of them in the more traditional race-track-esque level design.
Maybe this could be redesigned as its own thing instead of being a Sonic fan-game? That's not bad. It just limits what the creator(s) can do with the project. Just don't turn it into something like Sonic Omens. If you don't know what Sonic Omens is, good! If you must know, it was a somewhar "malicious" project where you'd combine only the worst aspects of Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Unleashed (minus the Werehog), a bit of Sonic Frontiers, and those intentionally cruel yet "beatable" custom Mario Marker levels. There is ironically a bit of a hypothetical more annoying incarnation of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) in there as well.

I already tried it. It doesn’t run as great as Sonic Venture, but then again it’s the 2nd demo and there are many more improvements to be made. I can’t wait for the next demo!

I played this fangame it's feels good, but has it's issues. I've stated my piece on the game on another UA-cam video sop I'll copy and paste what I already said here
Sonic Overtime feels really good, but my biggest issue is the level design. A common thing I see with a lot of 3D Sonic fan games is the developers will stick Sonic in this giant sandbox environment, but will have no sense of direction and that is what Overtime does. Sonic GT does this, but will have arrows pointing in the direction where you need to go.
Solid physics and movement, but this level design isn't it to me. If this were a hub-world or if the level had some sense of direction then it wouldn't be a problem to me. I'll be honest tho, this demo feels like what I imagine what the classic games feel like in 3D.
