- Julio Torres has been in custody at an immigration detention center in Alvarado for five days. His friends and family are concerned and expressing confusion as to how this could happen, considering Torres had a green card.
We will be praying for you and your family. Trust God, he will make things right.
Romans 1:16-17
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Praying for u and your family.
We don't know what happened. Period. Coming to any conclusion would be a mistake.
He was probably arrested and convicted in the past and for that reason he was detained.
That doesn’t mean he was to be detained unless his charges were about drugs. Residents are to be treated like citizens if he paid his debt to society you can’t charge him twice and punish him a second time. Cruel and unusual it’s crazy how they treat Mexicans but let in terrorist.
has to have a record
Yes, he probably does. In the letter that was being read from the police department, it stated that he is not the same man he used to be. To me, this means he probably has something in his background that led to his detention upon his return to the U.S. He may have what is known as a C.I.M.T. (crime involving moral turpitude). I pray he gets through this uphill battle, but let this be a lesson to those that are young and not from here. Your actions in your young and carefree days, could have negative consequences later down the road.
Exactly
Not every conviction is deportation the law states legal residents are to be treated like the rest. Now drugs were always a punishable offense or violent crime. This here is discrimination Mexicans did not fly planes into the World Trade Center but they sure let these terrorist bring their children to college here don’t day. If he was convicted he paid for his crime it’s illegal to punish someone again for the same crime this is nothing but discrimination towards Hispanics.
Using God and the Marines to excuse his hidden past..he sounds guilty to me
I’m confused…Is he an American citizen?
If he had just received his green card, no. I thought you had to have a passport to go into Mexico.
No, he is not a U.S. citizen. He's from Mexico with documentation to be here legally. However, the agency that gave him his documentation has no enforcement component. They just process applications and issue documents. Upon his return to the country, the officers at the Port of Entry probably discovered that he had a previous arrest record, and for that he was detained.
Sad this happened but to a marine and who has served this country. But this is all a political sham in today’s world . Including this media ….. how they did this story too .
I agree. They're spinning at it as someone who was just randomly detained for no reason. I wonder what the whole interview of the wife is like. There is definitely a lot of missing information from this piece. However, I hope he's able to get through this uphill battle he's now facing.
Preach the gospel and get some people saved Pastor.
Wtf sad stuff" hes a marine " and a American "" yes u should have all the help hopefully now
PRAYERS FOR THIS FAMILY 🙏🏻🙏🏻
The immigration center have to give the reason why he is being detained.. and then the family can starts from there.. and that family needs an immigration lawyer..
The immigration center doesn't have to do anything. They just detain and house people. The arrest was made by people at the Port of Entry (garita) and probably because he may have been arrested and convicted of something in the past.
@@luismarquez7959 Interesting. My reply to your comment is now gone. Anywho. The center doesn't have to do anything. He was more than likely detained for an arrest and conviction in the past, which would make him deportable. Look it up. They're called Crimes Involving Moral Turpitude.
The USCIS I just give him his immigration documents is one thing . So the family needs legal assistance..
Is this guy a illegal ??????
No. He has a green card, a legal document to live in the US. However, he was probably arrested and convicted of a crime previously, that led to his detention.
What kind of crime? They need a lawyer fast.
@@anthonymartinez4307 All kinds. Look up deportable crimes.
@@anthonymartinez4307 There a bunch of them. Look them up. They're called Crimes Involving Moral Turpitude.
Busquen al Abogado Jesús Reyes Law de Miami, FL.
Él les puede ayudar. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 que todo salga bien.
Well he got sent…very sad Torben was in the same type of facility here for over a year, praying it’s not that long for your family! Make the most of the time as you can and God will see you thru. Amazing how unjust the system is, but we serve a JUST God. And are looking forward to the 1000 years when HE reigns!!!
@@learninladyhomesteader9374 It's not unjust. He was probably detained because he was probably arrested and convicted in the past for a crime that would make him deportable. He may not be the same man he was in the past, but unfortunately his past actions have consequences.
This is political persecution
It's not. He was detained because he probably has an arrest and conviction for a crime, that warranted his detention.
The racism begins against Hispanics.
That doesn’t mean he is to be deported and held hostage. Not all crimes are deportable if a new law is here it means anything after that new law was signed then if he broke the law again then it might hold ground. Drugs are something they don’t forgive, but this family needs to get a lawyer asap and he should not sign anything.
@@anthonymartinez4307 He's not being held hostage and that's not how the law works. What you're saying is based on your opinion, not fact. There are many crimes for which if someone is convicted of, are deportable.
If he is illegal send him back....
Law is law......hello....
He is not illegal and this is just racist towards Hispanics again. Texas was Mexico originally do we need to sue back for our land the natives?
@@FrankMartin-qj8nj It's not that easy. He has to go through a legal process. He may get a bond so he can go home, but he'll probably have to go to a trial at some point. If found guilty and amendable to deportation, he'll be removed then.
They been doing this to a lot of people
The news should report why he is being detained and why he is at risk for deportation. Otherwise, it's not transparent and lacks substance. Everyone who is detained by law enforcement is loved. That, in and of itself, is not news.
AND ALL THE VENEZOLANOS WHEN!?.....AND ALL THE CUBANS WHEN!.....
Such long story but doesn’t say why he’s trouble!
There has to be Something we can do for this Veteran😇😇😇💯💯
I will pray for you Brother♥️
💔😞praying for him and his family this is devastating 💔💔💔
That's a marine and there's no more an american than a MARINE!!!!
How did he serve at the Marines if he didn't have the green card yet..?
@@franktorres633 He was probably already a Resident Alien when he served. Also, from my understanding, sometimes they will let people join one of the Services, so they can work to obtain legal status, and eventually become a U.S. citizen.
the military hired tons of foreigners for the “war on terror” casualties weren’t counted
HE IS A VETERAN!.....WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!
Speak english.
You should.
Learn it. Then try more languages you'll be less ignorant
He was on parole and not allowed to leave the US as a standard parole condition. Violating parole in his case subjected him to deportation. Since so many are clueless why he was detained. So yes he’s a vet (as am I, 30 yrs of service) but he violated his parole conditions. That’s the whole story
@@fashiondiva6972 Curious as to how you know he was paroled? Was it mentioned in a news article or story?
