I believe I’ve told you in our conversations, that the Woodpecker family are my very favorite of our bird species, they are by far one of, if not, the most valuable birds in our ecosystem system. In my opinion, they are our most beneficial bird species for healthy forests and woodlands.
Of all our Woodpeckers, the Downy Woodpecker is the one I admire the most. As you touched on because of their small size, they are able to reach insects and larva the other larger species cannot. this makes them exceptionally valuable to the ecosystem. aside from their benefits, they are in my opinion, the most handsome and dapper of all our bird species. They look like proper gentleman in tuxedo.
Wonderful piece of work as always, and I so greatly appreciate you showing the Downey Woodpecker love. They are most deserving of it.
