Wow that is a definitely a workout getting out all the water from the leaves! Hope all your succulent babies survive! Just @daym8 mentioned, may you get at least a few sunny and dry days afterwards. If I could, I would send you some California sunshine weather your way!
    ❤😃☀

Thank you much! I got to it just in time so I think they will be all right. Keeping my fingers crossed. Temps are not as high as they were a week ago so…though I think we are getting another heat wave…😩

@@beginneronceagain2857 I tried posting two links to my pics of my indoor echeverias on the comment section. After posting the links to the pics, the comment is not showing up. 😞 Not sure if UA-cam doesn't allow links in the comments section.
I will have to find another way to show you the pics. Just to describe, I was going to send you links to two pictures of two of my echeverias that I bought about 7-8 months ago. They were mostly indoors but I put them outdoors for the month of June. They are now back indoors. One of the pics has both echeverias under grow lights that I recently bought from amazon. I want to see how effective the lights are. If the lights are effective, then both echeverias will not etiolate under them.
One echeveria is an 'echeveria caroline' and the other is an 'echeveria snow bunny.'

Oh yeah. All these years of using UA-cam and never occurred to me that you can’t post links. That’s too bad! Wish they would allow us to post pictures on comments too. Would be so convenient. I don’t have Echeveria Caroline but I do have a snow bunny. I love Echeverias. They are my absolute favorites. 😀

@@beginneronceagain2857 I love that your family also keeps you posted on their succulent progress as well!😃.
No worries about not being able to post pictures in the comments. I decided to create a very brief video on my channel (Chetman Yu) describing my 2 echeverias that I talked about with you in the previous comment. I have never created a video on youtube before, but I decided that probably that was the best way to share with you my succulents if youtube wasn't going to allow me to post pictures in the comments. The video title is called: Succulent video 1: Echeveria grown indoors.
That is awesome that you also have an echeveria snow bunny! Do you have a video of it? If not, you should do a video on it! I have seen other videos of echeveria snow bunny on youtube and am excited at the potential of it to grow really big. I hope you get a chance to acquire an echeveria caroline! I don't know how big echeveria caroline can grow since I don't see many videos of it on youtube. I guess I will see in the future how big it will grow as long as I can take good care of it.
I love echeverias too! I just bought 4 more echeverias last week! They are: Echeveria matador, echeveria crystal amber, echeveria pure love, and echeveria dark queen. I went on a shopping spree from the nextgardener. 🤣

Oh great. I will go check out your video. I feel like a lot of the Echeverias have the potential to grow quite big. It’s all about how to take care of it and where it’s potted. My snow bunny is pretty small but it’s beginning to mature so it looks very different from when I first bought it. I’ve been meaning to do a shorts video on it so you will see it soon~ Love nextgardener. Their succulents are definitely top quality.

Is there a way to cover them maybe with a transparent plastic?like the back has been with the green net.
You probably can fold the plastic up when done and drop it from the top when the rains come ,holding it in place at the base with clamps so the plastic doesn't fly with a gust of wind.
The reason I mentioned this idea coz of the lovely rack they are placed in
Anyway, Thank you for your time and efforts 🙏 and I hope you have sunny days henceforth.🌞

Yeah I’m always racking my brain to find the best way. I used to manually cover all my succulents with a clear tarp and pinch it back when rain passes but that was so much work and I would constantly run back and forth. When there is a storm that comes unexpectantly and I’m not home, then I’m doomed. Haha
So I adjusted my table and added an angled polycarbonate roof. This works when it’s just a little bit of rain but it has no chance against a crazy thunderstorm like yesterday. What I really need is something like what you described but less manual work. If only everything can work with a push of a button! 😂 I’ve seen someone post pictures of a clear plastic blind over their succulent shelving. My next step is to get one of those and just pull it down so rain won’t hit it from the front with the winds. At least the blind will roll back up on its own. Oy vay. The weather has been so crazy in the last couple of years and we’ve just been getting crazier storms and so much rain! The things we do for our succulents!!

I wish you all the best.
I believe the manual method coz it won't fail you any time soon however the down side is a wee bit more effort.
I'm sorry that we humans have messed up the planet by emitting more greenhouse gases hence we all have to bare the brunt of it.😔
Anyway I wish have a wonderful time gardening and more delight on Succulent unboxing day🤗

Yeah for sure! Lazy = dead succulents 😭 I can only hope this summer we won’t get as much rain as last summer. So far it’s hasn’t been that bad. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and also praying for less windy thunderstorms.

Im hoping the same, the plastic cover and maybe a coat of varnish on the rack on which they are on (if time permits) will work wonderfully.
Coz then you are prepared come what may.
I hope you have a wonderful evening ✨
