Good question - either or, you should be fine with. NOBULL have a heavier upper so for daily wear, I do like them a tad better, but the GORUCK don't miss and I really enjoy their company's mission.
@@thatfitfriend ok have em on my feet right now. Def feel pretty comfortable. Im liking them. I def need longer socks on though. At least for a while while they break in. I’m not gonna be using them for any training. More for daily wear / shooting ranges. So far so good. I wear Brooks for distance running.
@@11bravo1789 awesome, love to hear that! Yeah, the sole takes a week and the ripstop varies depending on your anatomy, but stoked they’re working for you 💪
@@thatfitfriend thanks man. I ordered a pair of of the strike hazes last night as they seemed like a better option for training. Hopefully I can find a cool looking Hightop for daily wear with a decent toebox. I tagged you on Instagram on some shoes from Icarus Footwear called the Ascent, just found them today. They look really good and seem like an awesome daily driver and right up your alley, wide toe box all white low top with some functionality. Would love a review on them from you!
Tbh, man, there really aren’t many that are fully built in the US that are high performers. For context, I’ve looked into building my own training shoes one day and there really aren’t many options here in the US that compare. Plus, to truly build something in the US I’ve learned that it’s CRAZY expensive to do even if possible (and I’m low key pretty sure folks would be pissed about the prices of these hypothetical shoes if possible, lol).
@@thatfitfriend makes sense! Thanks for the knowledge bomb it definitely paints a picture of why there aren’t many. If you ever do build your own you got my support! Have a great day 🤙
@@flhtraining6064 thanks, brother. Yeah, it’s kind of a bummer but from what I’ve gathered and learned from others who build shoes is that the US’s shoe building capabilities just don’t compare to overseas productions. Specifically, in the training/running/performance sectors! Ayy, appreciate that 🤝
Eh, high-tops often lack a lot of breathability and the CORDURA upper isn't the most ventilated. If you wear them looser you'd prob be okay or wear lighter socks, but def not the most breathable option on the market

Excellent review as usual, i got the white one after watching the review. I really like them
Thank you! Hell yeah, stoked you’re enjoying them!
How do they handle rain? I would imagine the ballistic nylon is fine, but the mesh... let's water in?
Eh, they'll absorb some water if you're in heavy rain. If it's light or misty, they're not too bad, tbh
Very fashionable
Looks great for Colorado life 🤙
I’ve been rocking these in snow and sun 💪
really great review.
Thank you!
Any thoughts between these mids and the NoBull court trainer mid??

@@thatfitfriend thanks for the feedback. You’re great at what you do, Jake. 🍻
Have a pair of these coming today. Ordered a size 10- i normally wear 11.. but with their Low tops a 10 was the right size. So we’ll see..
Let me know how they work!

Hey Jake! Is the toe box wider then vans?
Yeah, it’s a bit wider, especially through the end of the toe box.

hey man what other trainers do you recommend that are actually made in the US?

My feet sweat a lot. Do they breathe well?

Would you recommend them for rucking on pavement?
Yeah, should be good for it!
How is it for rucking on pavement?
Tends to hold a bit. My pair has been solid for all the concrete abuse I've put on them!
Ordered my normal size, 11. They fit like 12.
Well, now you know GORUCK run long for ya! They have a solid exchange policy
wow, those are heavy. don’t jump off the boat with these on; u’ll go straight to the bottom of the ocean.
Haha bootstrap jake!
