Thanks for the review. Although not my favorite aesthetically, they’re possibly the most comfortable shoes I’ve worn all day. Lift in the morning, desk job, run in the evening. Very pleased with this purchase.
Looks similar to the nobull from a rope climbing design. Looks like it will grip just fine. How is it with overhead barbell work? I use the metcon with the 8mm insert for a total of 12mm heel to toe and love it. They should have come in cheaper to get established in my opinion.
Yeah, you hit the nail on the head in re: rope climb performance. They’re pretty solid for overhead work. I’m not sure how much you would notice a 8 VS 12 difference in this case though as proficiency and mechanics would also factor in here!
I haven’t actually tested this model for pickle yet… 🤔 I should, their lateral support is good, but midsole is a bit more firm than what I would normally prefer for pickle and similar sports!
Try warm water and sponge/paper towel with a very very light neutral soup (avoid harsh fragrances and ingredients)- this should do the trick. If it doesn’t, hit me and I’ll try plan B!
For high variety training (firefighter that does group PT which includes every aspect of fitness) & possible all day wear, would you recommend these or the nobull trainer+? I have OG nobull trainers last 3 years but the grip doesn’t last as long as I’d like as asphalt and other things have destroyed it. I have a wider toe size 12 and can’t decide between these & the nobull trainer+! Currently the gorucks are on sale @ $99 while the nobull+ is still $139
That's a good one...the GORUCK model is typically hit or miss. Some folks love them others find them to be "meh". I like them for their consistency and they're likely deliver just fine for your training asks/contexts. Now, the question is, is it worth the gamble over a model that you have a better idea that you'll likely enjoy already? That's the question, lol.
Apples to oranges regarding comparison, tbh. I'd go GR if your goal is cross-training/outdoor workouts. Flux is okay for some stuff, but its upper leaves little to be desired.
Ok Jake, small dilemma. I love GR products. But on the fence w/ the awesome GR Ballestic show or the new Flux shoes. Yes a bit different. Flux seem like a cool idea. Flexible etc. but GR Ballestic shoes definitely more durable and longer lasting possibly. Thoughts.
How do these compare to the Cloud X and Strike Vimana Hybrid runner for daily wear that occasionally pull double duty as running 1-3 miles and lifting?
Going to run a little stiffer compared to both of those model and will feel heavier, IMO. Great shoes for lifting/rucking, but for running, they can be pretty hit or miss!
If you like a little more structure and density, yeah. I have coaching friends who love their Ballistics for coaching all day and those are usually the reasons why they enjoy them.
@@thatfitfriend Thanks for your response. How would you compare these with Reebok Nano x1 and Nike Metcons for flat/low arch, wide feet? For basic gym activity. Not too hectic
@@naumanshah9060 better than the Metcon line, those tend to be a bit too narrow for folks that have wider feet/want a bit of support. Decent compared to the Nano X1. I would say go XI if you want a tad more versatility and go GORUCK if you’re interested in a bit more arch support/structure!
Yeah, I’m curious to see how the color of these shoes holds up long-term on this specific pair. Honestly, I should have went with the black/gum colorway though 😂

I lift, run and do everything in these shoes. My favorite shoe ever.
How far of runs do you regularly do in these?

Love hearing that!
How long of runs can you do comfortably in these?
@@TellurdogIsayhiI wouldn’t go further than 10K.

How have these held up so far? Thinking about getting a pair.. Great vid as always 👌
They’ve held well thus far - no complaints!
Thank you 💪💪
Great video Jake! How do the performance in pickld ball games? Good lateral support?

I have the exact same colour. How do you clean them when they get dirty from rucking? Mine are pretty dirty already.

Wish these still had more color ways. Anything green or even tan. Goruck usually does more military style colors wish we’d see them here
Agreed! I should have got the black/gum colorway, tbh.
And love the OSRS profile pic. Much nostalgia.
I’m on the fence with GR Ballestic is the flux worthy or leave it. And go w GR

@@thatfitfriend I truly appreciate your reply. I like honesty and this is it. I want an over all walking, rucking etc shoe. GR wins
@@jbp48080 they should last you a while, too, which is also a perk of them. You're welcome!

How's it for flat/low arch feet and wide feet?
Decent arch support, but may feel a tad tight in the mid-foot!

Do you prefer these or the Reebok nano x1 ?
These!
why does the tongue of the shoe keep slipping? did I order a size too big?
As in falling into the left/right side when wearing? Potentially - how much room do you have at the end of your toe box?
How are these for all day wear vs nano x2s?
These run a little more stable, but both are comfy enough for all day wear, IMO!
I only bought these exact trainers because you had them on in a video last week. Boly reviews > everyone else
I appreciate you for rocking with me! 💪💪
I think the patina will build up nicely
