Apparently Mana Echoes counts the creature itself so Purphoros still added 1 even though it was the only God. From the rulings on Gatherer: "The creature entering the battlefield shares a creature type with itself if it has any creature types, so Mana Echoes usually adds at least [1]"
Yeah I had thought about it. I was expecting goblin aggro and not goblin combo, I thought he would put some pressure on the stax player. It all went to hell pretty fast tho....I miscalculated, oops.
@@CommanderReplay Yeah, I can definitely see that line of thought. There was no way you could know he would untap and be like "okay, you're all dead now." OG krenko was my first ever edh deck, so I feel like I'm always overly cautious against goblin decks.
Group hug is definitely not the way to go with this unfortunately. I thought it might be a good idea but there needs to be more of a focus on forcing your opponents to draw cards and then using your tokens to kill your opponents
...? Thats grouphug mate ? Templebell+mindover matter could be another win. Forced fruition. Folio of fancies. Giving you and others cards is one or if not the best go to strategies for a grouphug deck. Thats does not outright win others the game.
I've been considering making an agro deck for mtgo, that just plays fast and fair magic. My decks tend to build and become a bit too solitairey if that makes sense. Any suggestions?
Well if you want Solitaire Aggro winota is your bet. I guess it depends on what colors you like. Also i have a video coming on Grenzo tomorrow where the purpose is to win with other peoples cards. Not the strongest deck ever, but if you are looking for fun fair interactive magic grenzo gives you something to do other than generate all the value, play all the cards, win the game. But there are many aggro commanders out there, just depends what you like.
@@CommanderReplay Grenzo could be a cool deck for sure. For clarity, I'm trying to avoid a solitaire type deck because I hate having players wait on me. Maybe I'll just make morophon gods and just keep it simple. Thanks for the input man, and keep up the great videos!
Dear god yes it would have. Probably Should have mulliganed, but I worked out of it eventually. Other later choices I made were certainly questionable.
From all the walking dead cards I like glenn the least. Beside just not fitting in like all the others he also completely breaks the colour pie. I've seen some people say the card fits the character from the show very well but I don't think that should have been the priority when designing these cards
Only thing I've found effective against board wipers is making sure I get them out of the game first. IMO Grenzo would have been better served by attacking the Glenn player every turn. Gonna wipe the board? Cool, you're at 16.
23:27 Party Jace is in the house tonight! Everybody just draw a good card 🎵
EVERY DAY IM SHUFFLIN.
Lots more Xyris please, I love this commander!
Because of the way Mana Echos is worded, you count the creature that entered, so Purphoros got one because he shares a creature type with himself.
The King's Choice a.k.a. Split Card tribal
Nice

Ah that makes sense. Was confused for a moment, but mistakes were made before that point to allow that to happen.
Any consideration to holding up the Beast Within + counterspell to blow up the pendril mists on Kaotics endstep?

I love my Xyris deck its unfortunately always one turn away from winning.
This was less of a grouphug deck, more of a "has a few grouphug cards to garner favor from the table". I think Xyris is neat.

Somehow it does not seem corect to have crop rotation in a deck just to color fix

Wow a burgeoning could have been really great this game
