Can confirm that baby powder makes sand so much easier to brush off, haven't brought kilos of sand back into the car for years, and it gets it out from in between your toes
Yes, it removes the moisture that makes the sand stick to the skin. Simple.

16:02 my aunt keeps baby powder with her in her vehicle and on her porch for this exact reason. There's some kind of sand that is really dry and you can brush it off easily. But other types of sand is moist and it sticks and when you try to brush it off it just rolls around on your skin. That's where the baby powder comes in handy. It soaks up the extra moisture and allows you to just brush the sand right off. This actually works great!

In regards to the talc thing from someone who lives beach side, sand sticks to the oil on your skin. The reason it's so hard to brush off is because your skin is covered in oil, so it's kind of like trying to get glue off of paper using a pva stick. The talc provides an oil-less coating for the sand to roll on to, and since there's nothing for it to stick to, it just falls off. I just wish my sister would do it before she throws her sand filled clothes into the washing machine 😭
idk where kids media creators get the idea that kids want to watch adults acting like babies. its so weird

It's probably 'cause of the "Summer" being listed first in their title as to why it's fine that they took a while to get to a beach. I think that the first one wasn't supposed to be at a beach. I thought so until I remembered that it says "Summer". Also, they have hacks at what is clearly a pool. So maybe it's a pool next to a wooden deck at their house.

Regarding sunburn - screw the home remedies, just buy a decent after-sun lotion and be prepared to use it. A LOT.
I got a really bad sunburn on both my arms during a boat ride, and on the 3 hour train home just kept applying it again and again. Avoided the worst symptoms of it, but I was still peeling skin for about a month afterwards.
Good after sun is a lifesaver! I'm allergic to sunscreen, so we keep XL after sun bottles here, and I've often caught family members sneaking some for themselves

Oddly enough, sunburns don't hurt me. They make me itchy, but that's it. I don't remember where we'd gone one time when I was in 2nd grade, but I got a massive sunburn on my back. I wore a shirt that was lower in the back when I went to school the next day, and some little douche came up and smacked me hard on a really red spot on my shoulder blade. I just looked at it, then at him and went, "Yeah?" You should have seen his face. It's like he was about to be eaten by a demon lol

Talc to remove sand is a genuine thing in the UK. I think it helps to remove the dampness from the sand and also to relieve the chaffing from the sand particles.

Ngl tho, i needed this video yesterday. Went to a theme park/water park today and my water shoes were uncomfortable so I went barefoot at the water park area and wow, for a place where most of the rides require bare feet and therefore a large portion of the guests are walking around barefoot they sure do make absolutely NO concessions for bare feet. Needed me some of those noodle shoes cos the bottoms of my feet absolutely are burnt 😭
Here in Brazil, it's literally that expensive, like, R$70 (U$15), the monthly minimum wage here is R$1200 (U$250)

Talc dries things. So it would absorb moisture from the sand. Making the sand less wet makes it less sticky. I can see the logic behind it.
Edit: If you're allergic to aloe like me then cocoa butter works just fine to sooth sunburn. I do this. I get burnt using sun protection. 😢😂

To be fair if the pool one is supposed to be a small kid, I know they use adults to play kids, anyways if they are supposed to be a kid, if they are young enough that would work as a hack cos little kids don't function on logic lol like how you can tell em a $5 note is worth less than a $2 coin cos the coin is made of gold and they will trade you the note for the coin.
